Description
The first UK tour in 1973, the Liverpool performance on May 18th, and the Glasgow performance on May 24th are recorded in good sound quality at the time. Disc 1 includes the Liverpool performance. The first track “Soily” has a poor sound, but it becomes easier to listen to from the second track “Big Barn Bed”. One of the highlights of the day was Denny Laine, who was in a hustle mood, suddenly singing the Beatles number “Help!” before “Wild Life”, and the surprised audience cheered loudly in the venue, a rare scene that was realistically documented. It has been. (Paul must have been surprised by this, which is why there were so many requests for “Hey Jude” in the first half.) In Linda’s “Seaside Woman,” Denny actively took over from Paul. When you join hands, you can listen to a fun performance in which Paul also joins hands. There are some sound breaks, and the last Long Tall Sally fades out, but there is no doubt that it is a valuable sound source that enthusiasts can fully enjoy. After all, performances in our hometown of Liverpool are always special! The Glasgow performance recorded on Disk 2 is recorded with even better sound quality, and this is a complete recording. Paul also gives a passionate performance throughout the movie, and the audience responds with a passionate reaction. On this day, Henry McCulloch was flying, and during the interlude in “Live And Let Die,” he was a little out of tune, and in “Maybe I’m Amazed,” he exploded with a different and unusual phrase in the interlude. You can really listen to Henry’s performance. The climax was “My Love,” and the loud cheers when the performance started were moving. As mentioned above, this is a complete recording, including Paul’s speech in response to the enthusiastic encore. The band as a whole has a good vibe, and as mentioned above, the sound quality is among the best of the 1973 UK tour records, so this is recommended. The pitches of both performances are perfectly matched, and it can be said that it is a two-disc set that is very happy for enthusiasts.
