Description
June 23, 1976 famous performance appears with the best title of Mirrored Original Master! This performance has been famous since the analog LP era under the title of the masterpiece “WINGS FROM THE WINGS”, but this edition mainly features the finest stereo audience recording from the mirrored original master that was finally released, and the missing parts are replaced with analog LP. (*Compensated with sound source different from Mirrored). Furthermore, the parts that could not be covered by the analog version were filled in with the third sound source (monaural AUD) of the day, making it the longest recording ever! The mirrored sound source of this performance is different from the sound source of the LP record, and was released on CD for the first time in the 1990s. It appeared on a famous label from the past, and until recently, the distribution of mirrored sound sources was limited, so there were surprisingly few release updates, and a copy version of that record also appeared around 2003. This time, it has been remastered based on the mirrored master released by JEMS. The original sound source had a weak low range and a thin overall sound with poor clarity, but by adjusting the band appropriately, the sound became clearer and the sound image became larger, thicker, and well-balanced. This clearly improves the ease of listening, and although there is a slight increase in hiss due to adjustments, it can definitely be said that the sound quality is the best ever. All of the compensation is between songs, but there are 5 locations, of which 3 locations are supplemented from the LP, and these are directly digitized from the “WINGS FROM THE WINGS” LP and carefully removed scratch noise. There are almost no problems at the seams, as the timbre has been corrected and compensated for. Also, regarding this famous LP, the two songs “Call Me Back Again” and “Beware My Love” seem to have been recorded from the previous day’s performance on the 22nd, rather than the 23rd. There are cuts before and after the song, there are changes in the sound quality, and above all, the performance is different from the 23rd). Also, although there are some parts of this LP, there are parts between songs that have a shorter recording time than the mirrored master, and it seems that there are some parts that cannot be compensated for from the LP. Therefore, for the parts that are difficult to compensate for with those LPs (*2 places), in this title it is compensated from the monaural audience sound source, which is the third sound source of the day. Since the main mirrored sound is stereo, there are some differences in sound quality due to monaural compensation, but this definitely makes it the longest recording ever. By the way, the supplement (from the LP) before the last song of the main song “Soily” is the applause part waiting for the encore, but it lasts for more than 1 minute. The third disc is an extra disc and contains soundboard sound sources and excerpts from the LP. The soundboard sound source part is recorded for about 58 minutes and is a copy remaster from the already released Midas Touch album, but it has been carefully restored. First, the overall low pitch was corrected, and the original sound of “Rock Show” The double has been resolved and the first uncut version has been restored. Also, “Time To Hide”, which was recorded in a strange position although it is a fragment, has been rearranged in chronological order. The LP starting part at the end of the third disc (*the tape on which the LP is based is not yet in circulation) has been carefully removed with scratch noise, pitch adjusted, and tone corrected, and although only a few songs are picked up, it is unique to the LP. It is a tasteful, hard sound, and you can enjoy plenty of textures that are different from mirrored sound sources. Also, “Blackbird”, which was missing for some reason in the fan titles on the internet, is recorded here without being cut because it has been properly raised from the LP. The best title that remastered the best mirrored master of the famous performance on June 23, 1976! The band is slightly adjusted to maintain a good balance, mainly in the low and high frequencies. The cuts between songs are supplemented with sub-sources (LP stereo source or mono tape source). The extra disc includes a soundboard from the same day performance and several LPs (online) Live at The Forum, Inglewood, CA, USA 23rd June 1976WINGS – WINGS FROM THE WINGS: ORIGINAL MILLARD MASTER RECORDING (2CD+Extra CD) [Smilin’ Ears / SE-2009A/B/EX] Disc 1 (68 :32) 01.
