The summary of “ONE ON ONE JAPAN TOUR 2017” is finally here. Following on from last week, here is the superb live set of the second half. This work contains “April 29th + 30th, 2017: Tokyo Dome Performance”. It is a 5-disc set with “April 29th” by the same recorder on discs 1-2 and “April 30th” on discs 3-5. Let’s organize it with the tour schedule along with the press album released at the same time this week. ・April 25th: Nippon Budokan “BUDOKAN 2017” ・April 27th: Tokyo Dome “TOKYO DOME 2017 1ST NIGHT” ・April 29th: Tokyo Dome [This work discs 1-2] ・April 30th: Tokyo Dome [This work discs 3-5] In this way, this work is a live set that allows you to listen to the latter two performances at once. The quality you care about is superb! From the title, it looks like a sequel to “ONE ON ONE JAPAN TOUR VOL.1” delivered last week, but it’s a bit different. The two performances in this work are the work of the same recorder, but it’s a different person from “VOL.1”. And the quality of this work is also amazing. Usually, the Japanese performance follows the order of “breaking news title → apex recording → individualist title”, but this work is a breaking news in the second half. In other words, along with the CDs “BUDOKAN 2017” and “TOKYO DOME 2017 1ST NIGHT”, the live albums of all the dates appeared at once. In fact, the sound of this work is as wonderful as many titles. The key is the recording position. “VOL.1” was also a work by a master, but this work has even more power in the seats, and the direct feeling of closeness is vivid. Particularly amazing is “April 30th”. Although the details are kept secret, it is a recording in the front row. Of course, even in the front seats, reverberation can have a negative effect, but this work does not have that drawback. Perhaps they used a highly directional microphone, or perhaps the PA was close, but the venue sound is hardly felt even while capturing the core of the extremely thick with zero distance. If you only listen to the sound, a vivid sound that is hard to believe is a dome will flow out. However, this work is definitely the Tokyo Dome. It is the huge scale that makes you feel it. Of course, only at the front, the loud cheers do not break in front of the extremely thick performance, but the three-dimensional effect and perspective of (small) ripples rushing from your back are wonderful. If you liken this feeling to a resort hotel along the coast. It feels like playing a CD at a high volume in a room where you can hear the ripples of the ocean from the window. It is a live album with a rich mood where the musical sounds are approaching in front of you, and the ripples are slightly produced. The show depicted with that sound is particularly wonderful in the latter two performances of the highly acclaimed Tokyo Dome 3DAYS. The full set is longer than the Nippon Budokan, and includes plenty of masterpieces that will be released in Japan for the first time, including the opening song “A Hard Day’s Night” that will be the mark of “ONE ON ONE”. The Beatles’ “In Spite Of All Danger”, “You Won’t See Me”, “Love Me Do”, “I Wanna Be Your Man”, collaboration song with Rihanna and Kanye West “FourFiveSeconds”, and “Temporary Secretary”. You can also listen to a rare arrangement of “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)” that is not a medley. In addition to these basic sets, you can’t miss the “only on this day” numbers. “Save Us”, “I’ve Just Seen a Face”, and “I Saw Her Standing There” on “April 29th” and “Get Back” on “April 30th” were not performed at other shows. In total, you can enjoy 42 masterpieces with the best sound for both shows. Not only is it a quick report on the final day, “April 30th,” but it is of the quality that a press should have (in fact, it may be pressed in the future). And it is a masterpiece that conveys the spectacle of the top seats with the best sound from one famous recording artist. No matter what titles appear in the future, it will never exceed the “sense of unity” at such a high level. A quick report and a super powerful 5-disc set. Come on!
