Description

A four-disc set that allows you to enjoy the first half of the “ONE ON ONE JAPAN TOUR 2017” with the same recording artist collection is now available. Paul has been coming to Japan every year since 2013. It seems like a lie that the years when even waiting in anticipation felt like a luxury, but his sixth solo tour was a great success this year as well. It has already become a hot topic in various places, and of course, “sound reports” have arrived at our store one after another. This work is the first of a series of carefully selected works. It is a live set that was directly converted to CD from the master provided by the recording artist himself, who is known as a master. There are two performances in this work. “April 25, 2017: Nippon Budokan” performance and “April 27, 2017: Tokyo Dome” performance. Each performance is recorded on two discs. It is a four-disc set with two discs each. I don’t think it is necessary now because the records and memories are still clear, but let’s keep it in the schedule for the sake of recording.・April 25th: Nippon Budokan [Disc 1-2] ・April 27th: Tokyo Dome [Disc 3-4] ・April 29th: Tokyo Dome ・April 30th: Tokyo Dome There are a total of four performances. The two performances in this work are the first half of the series. All the performances have already arrived at our shop, but we are currently in the midst of scrutiny. It is not impossible to introduce all of them one by one, but first impressions are often memorable. In order to make your memories beautiful, we are striving to select as beautiful recordings as possible. And this work was selected as the first one. The biggest point of this work is the beautiful sound that has gone through the careful selection, but at the same time, it is also a collection of the same recording artist. The person who made this work is a master who has worked on CDs of various artists. This work is a set of two venues with completely different acoustics, “Nippon Budokan” and “Tokyo Dome”, but it is a work of a master who captures both of them with beautiful sound. In fact, the extremely beautiful audience sound flows out of this work. The point here is the “audience” part. Several types of recordings have already been released for both performances, but both seem to be aiming to be “as soundboard-like as possible”. That’s a good thing, but the audience recording has the “beauty” that only the audience recording can have. Of course, this work also has a sense of boldness and thickness that dismisses poor line recordings, but at the same time, it also values the “sound” that can only be achieved with audience recordings. The faint, yet transparent “sound” is beautiful. And the “on-site feeling” of being there is beautiful. Such recording nuances are realized in both the completely different “Nippon Budokan” and “Tokyo Dome”. This is the work of a master master. The wonderfulness of the two performances depicted with such sound. Despite returning to Japan after only two years, this year’s tour has been met with rave reviews, and this work is packed with that flavor. The opening of “A Hard Day’s Night,” which can be said to be the mark of “ONE ON ONE,” is striking, but there are many other things to listen to after that. First, at the Nippon Budokan on the first day, the Beatles’ debut songs “Love Me Do” and “In Spite Of All Danger,” as well as “I Wanna Be Your Man,” which was also performed at the Nippon Budokan by The Beatles 51 years ago, were released solo in Japan for the first time on this day. In particular, the latter was a song that he once provided to the Stones, and was the first number he performed in connection with the Stones’ cover of “Come Together” at DESERT TRIP 2016 last year. He also performed it in Japan. In addition, he will perform “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)” from “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band,” which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. This song was also performed in 1990 and 2002, but at that time it was a medley with other songs. This time it was performed alone, and you can experience an extremely rare version. In addition to this, the Nippon Budokan was a special set. This time, the set list was different for all four performances, and in fact the Nippon Budokan was the shortest day. However, as if to brush off that handicap (?), they performed songs that they did not play on other days, such as “Drive My Car”, “Everynight”, and “Magical Mystery Tour”. In addition, the document is not just a service, but is also attractive. There is a mistake in the second half of “Blackbird”, and the scene where they start over with “a little pause” is also included. Rather than being disappointed by this mistake, the audience was very excited. Paul burst out laughing at this reaction. The first day of the Tokyo Dome, “April 27th”, was a popular performance on this tour. First of all, the scale of the full set show, which far exceeds the Nippon Budokan, is delicious. As mentioned above, the set was different for all four performances on this Japan tour, but in terms of the number of songs alone, this “April 27th” and the next “April 29th” are the most tied. There are actually 12 songs in the repertoire that were not performed at the Nippon Budokan, and “Letting Go” and “Birthday” were numbers that could only be heard on this day of this Japan tour. In addition, there are plenty of numbers that will be performed for the first time in Japan following the Nippon Budokan. The Beatles’ “You Won’t See Me”, collaboration songs with Rihanna and Kanye West, “FourFiveSeconds”, and “Temporary Secretary” are also shown for the first time in Japan. And the mood of being surprised and surprised by these songs is wonderful. Paul’s singing voice reaches you so clearly and directly that you would never think it was a dome, but the spectacle of the 48,000-person chorus that follows him is wonderful. Of course, there are no noisy spectators near this work, but it spreads thinly and finely far away. The sense of distance from Paul’s singing voice, which is so thick and powerful, also creates dynamism. Paul started 2017 from Japan. This is a live set that allows you to enjoy the first and second days with the same recording artist’s collection. The special Nippon Budokan and the spectacular Tokyo Dome. A masterpiece that has been drawn with the sense of a master at both. Please enjoy it to the fullest.
