Description
“ONE ON ONE JAPAN TOUR 2017” involved music fans all over Japan. The sound source summary has finally reached its climax. Live recordings of all the dates have already appeared, and from now on, we will enter the “depth” stage with sound checks and further high quality masters. We have prepared a luxurious set of wonderful unreleased recordings. This work contains two performances. “April 27th + April 29th, 2017: Tokyo Dome performance”. Just to be sure, let’s check the schedule. ・April 25th: Nippon Budokan ・April 27th: Tokyo Dome [This work disc 1-2] ・April 29th: Tokyo Dome [This work disc 3-4] ・April 30th: Tokyo Dome In this way, it is a four-disc set with two discs each for the first and second days of the Tokyo Dome. We have already delivered several live albums on both days, but this work is completely new. The master handed over directly to us by the recorder himself was directly made into a CD. Of course, even after all these live albums, the quality is excellent because we are introducing a new one. First of all, “April 27th (Disc 1-2)” was recorded by the same person as “LIVE AT TOKYO DOME 2017 FINAL NIGHT”, which was very well received the other day. Yes, it is the work of that “famous recordist’s friend”. Of course, this time we borrowed the best equipment from a famous recordist, and this report is from the super-top seat, “A11 Block, 3rd Row”. The quality is superb. It was a success that it was not a special situation like the last time “the microphone was placed under the fence (in the front row)”, and the musical tones and singing voices were clear, the core was thick, and the sound was beautiful. There was almost no echo in the venue, and the taste of the close seats was plentiful. In fact, if it was just the musical tones, it was comparable to the apex board “TOKYO DOME 2017 1ST NIGHT” with its phenomenal sound. In fact, this recording also absorbs the joyful enthusiasm of the best seats. Of course, it’s not a personal conversation but an applause, so I listen quietly to the performance, but still, it’s not suitable for those who want to “concentrate only on Paul”. Rather, it’s a recording that I would like to enjoy for those who want to immerse themselves in the mood of meeting Paul again at the scene. Although it’s not for everyone, the high quality sound makes you happy just to listen to it. And “April 29th (Disc 3-4)”. This is also a recording of a master among masters. It is made by a recording artist who has worked on press titles for various artists such as Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton. Originally, I was thinking of pressing Paul, but this time, due to circumstances, only one performance was attended. It seems that he did not participate in the fierce battle for the best seats. Therefore, it was recorded in the “C9 block”, and the direct feeling is not as strong as the other press titles. However, there is a master. The clarity of the sound and the solid feeling of the core are superb, which you wouldn’t expect from C block. The core penetrates the center of the venue sound that is wrapped up slightly like a laser beam. The contrast and three-dimensionality make this recording even more beautiful. Although it cannot be said that this is the pinnacle for everyone, the sound world created by the “transparent sound” is a “beauty” that only a master can have. When you say “for enthusiasts,” it is often taken as an excuse for poor quality, but that is not the case. It is just not “easy for everyone to understand.” In particular, audience recordings change their expression depending on the position, equipment, mood and consideration of the scene…all of these things. I know that there is a depth of flavor and interest in it. That is why I think “I want to listen to as many as possible.” That is what it means to be a “maniac.” This is a masterpiece that those who have such a task should enjoy. Please enjoy the “world of beauty” that only a maniac can understand and feel.
