Description

As Paul’s third visit to Japan in the 2010s (excluding 2014) approaches, our shop will release the ultra-class 1993 Japan performance first appearance audience recording. Starting with “THE NEW WORLD TOUR IN TOKYO DOME” and “2ND NIGHT IN TOKYO DOME 1993”, our shop has produced many items with original sound sources. In the first place, the 1993 Japan performance has been re-evaluated since the 2010s, and along with the album “OFF THE GROUND”, it has become more popular among enthusiasts than it was in 1993. In response to this trend, all of the 1993 Japan performance items released by our shop are sold out. Among them, “TOKYO 1993 SECOND NIGHT”, the third release from our shop of the second day’s stage at Tokyo Dome, was a masterpiece that included the fact that it was an upper version recorded from the master of the ancient masterpiece “C’MON PEOPLE 1993”, a fact that was not even pointed out in specialist magazines (lol), but this has also been sold out for a long time. From this situation, I think you can understand how the 1993 Japan tour has been reevaluated. However, this time we have unearthed a completely unreleased audience recording of the first and second days of the 1993 Tokyo Dome. It is surprising that such a superb condition and a sound source containing a recent live performance has never been available among traders until now. In terms of how high the sound quality is, the quality easily exceeds that of the previous “TOKYO 1993 SECOND NIGHT” or “C’MON PEOPLE 1993” sound sources. The audience recordings included in these titles are also excellent recordings that boast an astonishingly on-balance as sound sources capturing the 1993 Tokyo Dome live performance. However, while the performances were captured on a larger scale, there was a weak point in that Paul’s voice was pushed further back. The sound sources this time are great with a large balance of Paul’s voice on both days! In particular, if you compare the second day with the past titles mentioned above, the difference is clear. In addition, the balance with the surrounding excitement is good, and the sound sources of those titles can be easily surpassed in terms of being able to enjoy a sense of realism without any unpleasantness. What’s more, the audience recordings for these two days are outstanding in clarity. This can also be said to be a decisive factor in making a difference from past sound sources and items. Since you can enjoy a little stereo feeling on both days, I would like you to enjoy the rich realism and enchanting clarity with headphones. On the second day, there was a muffled part in the middle of “Hope Of Deliverance”, but even if you ignore that, the sound quality is fascinating and you can listen carefully. The 1993 Japan tour was a time when the synthesized sound of the 1990s receded, and even the drummer was replaced, returning to a simpler and more straightforward rock sound. This change in sound was not very appreciated at the time, or rather, it seemed to be a part that did not appeal much to fans. This point has also been firmly reevaluated in recent years, and the fact that the numbers from “OFF THE GROUND”, which are no longer played live, are featured in abundance is also a point of reevaluation. The Paul Band at that time had been known for its stable performance since 1989, but on the first day, Wicks misplayed the interlude of “Penny Lane”, and on the second day, Paul missed the piano on “C’mon People”, and the fun scenes unique to live performances are captured with superb sound quality. On the first day, a famous recording called “BIG EGG 1993 NOVEMBER 12” was released in 1993, but compared to that, it is a sound image that is on par with the others, and if you express it as something that lightly exceeds the sound source heard there in terms of power, you can imagine the new audience recording that we have unearthed this time, and the exceptional quality. Wow, this is amazing. And it is really attractive that numbers such as “My Love”, which has long since disappeared from the live repertoire, and “Here, There, And Everywhere”, which is now played in a lower key, are sung by Paul, who is in top form than when he came to Japan in 1990. At that time, I felt that Paul had entered the realm of maturity, but it was almost 25 years ago, and when I listen to it now, I feel that he is still young! From Paul’s 1993 visit to Japan, a superb sound source that can be called a new standard without complaint is now here. The performance and sound quality are impeccable!
