Description
The “November 5, 2018: Ryogoku Kokugikan” performance attracted the most attention on the “FRESHEN UP JAPAN TOUR”. The masterpiece original recording has been decided to be released. Kokujikan is a traditional venue set to replace the Budokan. As if in proportion to the amount of attention it received, wonderful masterpieces are being created one after another. 2CD, video DVD, sound check…and this work. Some people may be starting to have trouble keeping track of just the types of items. This work is the third masterpiece audience album that arrived late. It is an original recording only for this work, which is a direct CD version of the master handed down by one of the best masters in the Kanto region. The quality is also amazing. As expected, it can’t be compared to “RYOGOKU KOKUGIKAN 2018”, but if it hadn’t arrived so late, it could have been released normally… or rather, I can see why they can’t help but release it even if it’s late. It’s a trade. The best thing about it is its beautiful, neat sound and extremely thick core. Although the warm acoustics of the venue are absorbed, even this does not hide the details, and the singing voice and MC that pierce through the center of the sound jump into the hands with freshness, and the performance is transmitted directly with delicate details. . Moreover, the sense of stability is excellent. Although it delicately picks up even modest sounds, it doesn’t freak out even when the volume gets louder, and the limiter doesn’t apply (even the big explosion in “Live and Let Die” has a sharp edge and is extremely powerful!). There is no shaking or distortion in the smooth and glossy sound, and it does not tremble from beginning to end throughout the full show. That’s exactly what makes you immerse yourself in the feeling of actually standing on the scene and being immersed in the live sound of a full show. And the excitement of a large chorus delicately filling that narrow space… It is a live album that allows you to fully enjoy the scene without any strange voices or screams. It is the third time, and the recordings that are worthy of being called masterpieces continue… It is probably because such beautiful recordings are mass-produced that the venue is narrower than the Nippon Budokan, as well as Tokyo Dome. Beyond the buzz of being a traditional venue, Kokujikan was overwhelmingly filled with the deliciousness of the box sounds and the intimacy of being able to feel the poles up close. This is a masterpiece of a live album where you can enjoy not only the popular “Doskoi” and “Gottsuan Desu” but also the singing voice and performance in every detail. I don’t know how many more times Paul will come to Japan, but it will be recorded in future generations as a night more valuable than Nippon Budokan. Even if it’s your third time, there’s no way you’ll miss the scene. This is a piece that will let you breathe in the fresh air of Kokujikan to your heart’s content with its fresh and wonderful sound.
