Description
The shocking IEM (in-ear monitor) album “BUDOKAN 2017: IN EAR MONITOR RECORDING”. A matrix album that utilizes that beautiful soundboard sound has been decided to be released as a gift. This word already says it all, but not everyone reads every corner every week. First, let’s start with “BUDOKAN 2017: IN EAR MONITOR RECORDING”, which is the background of this work. This “BUDOKAN 2017: IN EAR MONITOR RECORDING” was released the other day. It was an IEM recording of the “April 25, 2017: Nippon Budokan” performance that appeared on the Internet, but what was striking was the quality. Usually, IEMs that intercept radio waves tend to be unstable, and sound cuts and reception noise are always present. However, this IEM has no such drawbacks. It was an amazing recording that penetrated seamlessly with plenty of noiseless and glossy soundboard sound. “BUDOKAN 2017: IN EAR MONITOR RECORDING” was a single that delivered such IEMs raw and unprocessed. However, no matter how noiseless and seamless they are, there is an unavoidable fate of IEMs. That is the roughness of “work mixes”. The sound output from the PA is an artistic sound that has been elaborated to deliver to the audience, but the IEM is for band members and staff to understand the progress. Therefore, the overall beauty is ignored, and it is specialized in sounds that are easy to understand the rhythm and easy to grasp the beginning of the song. Even if it is extremely clear, it is a sound that basically lacks aesthetic sense. This work overcomes that. The audience recording is matrixed to a super vivid IEM, fusing the aesthetic sense of the band spit out from the PA with the realism of the on-site audience. It is a single that realizes “detailed and beautiful”. However, the matrix does not mean that anything will be better if it is layered. We need to make up for the elements that are lacking in the IEM, and if the balance is wrong, the sounds will fight each other. Therefore, this time we also carefully selected the audience recording. We used the “C1 block” recording that will be released this time. The audience albums that we have introduced so far have mainly been “A and B blocks”, but this work is a step back from that. In fact, this is also the point. If it is an album of an audience alone, the direct feeling of the very close seats is important, but the seamless and noiseless IEM has already covered that. Rather, what is missing is the sound that colors the bare “core”, the overall sense of balance, and the sense of realism. Of the countless masters provided, the recording that was perfect for it was the “C1 block” recording of this work. The show that flows from this work is as explained so far. The wonderfulness of that straight-ball sound board remains intact, and the rough details are coated with the sound of the audience recording. It is detailed and precise, but at the same time full of beauty, and is surrounded by the huge spectacle unique to the Tokyo Dome. It is a three-dimensional album that is different from the official one, but also different from the audience recording and IEM recording alone. A powerful and unparalleled IEM master, and a characteristic audience recording that pours a “sense of beauty” into it. Our shop has introduced many excellent and powerful audience recordings in the past, but this beauty cannot be created by simply overlapping “good sounds”. A total selection and polishing. A new sound world of the “2017 Nippon Budokan” that has already been fully enjoyed.
