Description
The taper of “TOKYO DOME 1993 1ST & 2ND NIGHT”, which renewed the best of Paul’s 1993 Japan performance items, has done it again. Moreover, it is the second day of the 2002 Osaka performance! Regarding the 2002 Japan performance, “TOKYO 2002 2ND NIGHT” has been released in the past, but this time the first Osaka performance will be released with the best sound quality. The Osaka performance was incorporated for the first time in the history of Paul’s Japan performances. From the 2002 tour, which now even feels nostalgic, the glorious second day of Osaka will be revived with the audience recording that our shop obtained independently from the previous taper. Regarding the performance in Japan at this time, very high quality items have been produced since the 2002 stage and have been produced up to the present, but the sound source released this time is not inferior to them at all. It is obvious even if you just listen to the SE before Paul appears. Hmm, this is a close sound image… When Paul and the band started playing, the power of the sound was overwhelming. The words “like a sound board” fit perfectly. Previously, “TOKYO 2002 2ND NIGHT” was an audience recording with a clear and vivid presence, whereas this sound source is overwhelming with the power of the on sound image. The clarity of each instrument is perfect, and the closeness of Paul’s voice and guitars is truly vivid. It is surprising that such a wonderful sound source has been kept secret for more than ten years. However, unfortunately, the new sound source on the final day of this show is only available until the end of Let It Be. Therefore, after Hey Jude in the second half of the show, it is supplemented with the first day sound source in Osaka recorded by the same taper. Although it is slightly less direct than the performance on the 18th, it is recorded with sufficient high sound quality. As a later release after 15 years, it is difficult to release, but anyway, this tremendous sound quality, which is worthy of release even if it is deducted, is definitely a must-listen for fans. It may be a minus that the beginning of the live performance includes cheering and light singing by a woman near the taper. However, fortunately, as soon as the Beatles number “Getting Better” started, which is not well known among the general public, the crowd froze (laughs), and after that, it was fortunate that the crowd only cheered occasionally between songs. This is especially true since the performance of this song was one of the highlights of the 2002 tour. And speaking of the Osaka performance, the most moving surprise was the live performance of the famous song “Calico Skies”. For Japanese fans, this scene still gives them goosebumps even when they listen to it now. Another big attraction of this sound source is that it reproduces this historic scene with powerful sound pressure. On the other hand, it is also rare to hear Paul’s singing in “Band On The Run” seeming to be in pain. This can also be clearly heard because the sound image is close. Another interesting thing is that the program of “She’s Leaving Home”, which was also the highlight of this tour, starts in a tone that sounds like a malfunction of the equipment. It was full of surprises and happenings in a good way, and it may be said that the 2002 visit to Japan was the best in terms of being full of things to listen to. And the famous ballad of “Your Loving Flame”, dedicated to his wife Heather at the time, which will never be played live again in the future, is really fresh to listen to now. The gorgeous piano ballad composition, which will never be repeated in Paul’s live performances in the future, such as the set list where this song and “My Love” were featured together, is also fresh. And since it is a sound source that boasts an incredible sound image, the explosion sound of “Live And Let Die” played in the second half of the live is literally captured at a volume that “splits the ears”. Be especially careful when listening with headphones (laughs). This is really surprising! The audience recording boasts such exceptional quality. Please enjoy the powerful sound pressure that is different from the items released in the past. The entire volume, the completely first appearance sound source, revives that moving Osaka performance.
