During the 1993 New World Tour, only a digest live album was released, titled “PAUL IS LIVE”, which was a single disc containing a condensed digest of the live performances, since there had been no time between the previous live album and the tour. There was also a video work of the same name, “PAUL IS LIVE”, but this was not only not a complete recording, but also included a lot of imagery unrelated to the stage, such as a car in “Drive My Car” and a rocket launch in “The Long and Winding Road”, and as a work, it was not a live experience. In the meantime, the only remaining complete recording of the tour was the Charlotte performance on June 15, 1993. The Charlotte performance, the only one of the 1993 New World Tour to be recorded completely and with a professional shot, has naturally been a popular concert as a collector’s item for a long time, and CDs with only the sound extracted were released, but all of them had quality problems, or some songs were cut in the middle due to differences in broadcast time, so there was no definitive version despite its fame. This work is the only 1993 complete soundboard recording and complete pro shot recording of this Charlotte performance, both in the best condition. Although it is a complete recording, the concert itself was held under time constraints based on the premise of broadcasting, so it is a shortened set list with several songs cut from the regular set list of the tour. Therefore, in this work, the songs cut from the tour are treated as bonus tracks and recorded as the first appearance audience sound source of the first appearance performance. In particular, “Fixing A Hole” was only performed at the beginning of the tour and was cut from the middle including the Japanese performance, and it is a special one only for this tour with a different arrangement from the 2002 tour. Although the CD is a sound source derived from the video, the advantages are that it is all recorded on the soundboard from the sound of the opening film played at the venue on the day, which is not recorded in the video, and the original defects of the level going up and down are adjusted and flattened. The DVD is a professional shot video consisting of only the performance, and you can enjoy the stage production of the time, such as the gondola that rotates above the audience’s heads in “Let Me Roll It” and “Hey Jude”, and the Shakespeare text that comes down from above in “Paperback Writer”. Above all, as all artists say, the performance when it is recorded is quite powerful, and Paul singing with his long hair fluttering against the backdrop of the sunset at the outdoor venue is truly wonderful. The sun gradually sets and the scenery darkens as the concert progresses, which is a pleasure unique to the beautiful video. This is a set of the only complete soundboard recording of the 1993 New World Tour and the complete professional shot recording video.
