Description
Appropriate for this week when we release valuable sound sources and videos of early Wings, we have prepared remastered versions of two of Paul’s early albums. First off, his first solo album. It is a masterpiece home album that Paul introduced a tape recorder to his home and recorded alone just before the Beatles disbanded, so it goes well with the DCC remaster. This was released in 1992, but it was a time when CD remastering and equalization were about to heat up. I have no choice but to take my hat off to Steve Hoffman, who created such an analog-like remaster in such an era. “McCARTNEY” is originally an album full of warm sound quality, but it is even more prominent in the DCC version. The word “warmy” is exactly right. For example, songs such as “Hot As Sun” and “Men We Was Lonely” are warm (lol) and are very pleasant to listen to! However, when it comes to “Maybe I’m Amazed”, which was also played in the early Wings item released this time, the performance sounds a little fluffy, and tastes may be divided on that point. In addition, the current remaster that was released in 2012 has a warm and refreshing finish that is also very nice, so I think it would be a good idea to listen to it and compare it to find your favorite “McCARTNEY” CD. Taken from the original DCC Compact Classics CD(GZS-1029) Remastered by Steve Hoffman (35:15) 1. The Lovely Linda 2. That Would Be Something 3. Valentine Day 4. Every Night 5. Hot As Sunglasses 6.
