Description
Paul’s unreleased album “COLD CUTS”, which has been planned several times and actually recorded, but is still shelved, will be reissued. It is a popular title among enthusiasts due to its content and quality. As if to prove its popularity, many different editions with the same name have been released. However, there were a lot of songs with different titles, mixes, takes, etc., and it must have been difficult for even the most enthusiasts to grasp the whole picture. Over the years, many versions have been made, songs have been replaced and remixed, and after repeated trial and error, it has been shelved, a misfortune that Paul himself seems to have had no control over. It can be said that it is a great project. The production of “COLD CUTS” is divided into three periods, and there are three versions according to each period. This work includes three versions of each, allowing you to get a bird’s-eye view of the complex flow of “COLD CUTS.” First of all, Disc 1 is the version made in 1978. It features songs such as Linda’s “ORIENTAL NIGHTFISH”, Denny’s “SEND ME THE HEART”, and an instrumental version of “TOMORROW”, making it more band-oriented. Disc 2 is a version that was made in 1980 but was shelved due to Paul’s arrest in Japan, John’s death, and the disappearance of Wings. Unreleased songs such as “A LOVE FOR YOU” and “CAGE” have been added, making it a Paul-only album. The pitch of the previous titles recorded in the 1980 version was uniformly out of order, but this time it has been corrected to the original accurate one. And the most famous one is probably the one made in the mid-1980s that is included on Disc 3. The mix has a thick sound and is as perfect as it could be if released as is. Furthermore, Disc 4 includes related mixes and different takes that were leaked from these three versions. In addition, a demo version is additionally included as a bonus track at the end of each disc, making it truly complete. Once you have this, you won’t need any other related boot. The previously released edition had a compilation title, but since it was recorded for each song, it was difficult to see the whole picture, and there were also omissions, so it was not actually a complete album. This work greatly exceeds previous releases in sound quality and is perfect in terms of content. This title is truly a masterpiece related to COLD CUTS. This work is basically a reissue of the previously released title of the same name, but the two versions in 1978 and 1980, which were a bit muffled, are clearer, for example, the 1978 version lacked the intro. Minor upgrades have been made, such as the complete version of “Hey Diddle”. Additionally, the backing track for “Blue Sway” and the demo for “Twice In A Lifetime” are additionally included as related sound sources unearthed since the previous release.
