Description
This FM broadcast recording was recorded in high quality stereo soundboard recording of the Oregon performance from the tour held in 1978 after the release of the album “EASTER”! The single “Because The Night” from the third album “EASTER” released in March 1978 became a hit that entered the top 10 in the United States, and Patti Smith, who became a worldwide presence, has released an FM broadcast recording of a live performance held at The Place in Eugene, Oregon on May 4, 1978, recorded in high quality stereo soundboard recording! The sound source was recorded by local FM radio station KZEL-FM, and was digitally transferred directly from the low gene master, and is recorded in a clear high quality stereo soundboard recording with impeccable mix and balance. (“No Jestering” and “25th Floor” are omitted here because they are included in the official version.) This sound source has also been distributed on CD in the past, but all of them had the disadvantage of being fast pitch. Of course, this work has been carefully corrected, and the quality is different from what has been distributed so far. The set list features five songs from the album “EASTER” released about two months ago, including Patti’s signature single “Because The Night”, and covers of The Kinks’ “You Really Got Me”, Irma Thomas’ “Time Is On My Side” also known for the Rolling Stones, and Elvis Presley’s “Jailhouse Rock” in the encore! It’s a must-have item!
