Pat Metheny/With Orchestra 2003

In July 2003, two live concerts with an orchestra were performed. First of all, the first half is a live performance with the Metropole Orchestra at the “North Sea Jazz Festival” held in the Netherlands on July 12th, recorded in official quality from the broadcast master video. Since it is a famous festival with a history of over 30 years, it is an event that can be called a trade show for top musicians every time, but this collaboration particularly attracted attention during the three days of live performances held in the same year. The performance was performed under a magnificent orchestral arrangement that seemed to breathe new life into representative songs old and new. Additionally, bonus footage includes interview footage from his appearance at the same jazz festival. Although a long version with the same content has already been released, the quality is slightly higher here. Furthermore, the second half of the album, 40 minutes, includes footage of Pat’s guest appearance at the Esbjorn Svensson Trio and chamber orchestra’s July 5th stage performance in Germany. The guest performed guitar work that was a little different from usual. In addition, the entire video has been remastered with perfect image quality and audio, making it a masterpiece that can be said to be one of the best quality among Pat’s video items. The recording time is 96 minutes in professional format with menu chapters.
