From the Pat Metheny Group’s special stage held in Tokyo and Nagoya from the end of 2008 to the beginning of 2009, wonderful items that can be declared as the definitive edition are now available.The first and second stages of the Tokyo performance on 1/7 are the best. All songs recorded on 2 discs with high quality audience recording. Lyle Mays (key) and Steve Rodby (bass), two PMG allies for over a quarter of a century, and Anthony Sanchez (drums), who has built an unwavering position with Pat Metheny’s tremendous trust since joining in 2002. This series of tours by the quartet featured famous songs from the early stages of their career, which brought tears to the eyes of old fans, but the 2-stage complete recording item, which conveys the whole story in its entirety, is also astonishing.
