Recorded from a rare soundboard sound source of the live performance at Grinnell College on September 24th from the U.S. university tour accompanying the release of the album “Water Colors” produced from the historic encounter between Metheny and Lyle Mays in 1977. It is a set of discs. Pat’s early live sound source could be heard in fragments, but when it comes to a complete live recording like this, its existence is hardly confirmed, and in that sense, it is a valuable live complete version.
