On June 30, 2006, on the stage of the jazz festival “Jazzbaltica” held in Germany, Pat Metheny Trio and Nils Landgren led a live performance with a luxurious guest lineup, which was an extremely official and exquisite performance. 2CD & DVD coupling items recorded in high quality are now in stock. Pat Metheny Trio and Nils Landgren’s one-night-only live performance, which was the best part of the festival, was held separately from their respective main stages, with stereo soundboard recording and professional shots that have been remastered in 2021. This is a masterpiece captured on film. The show opened with the duo of Pat and Nils, “My Funny Valentine” and “Picasso,” and the trio joined Marcus Strickland for the third song, “When We Were Free.” In the following “Don’t Go To Stranger”, Bobo Stenson appears instead of Marcus. And the wonder of “African Skies” where Marcus joins again and plays. The highlight of the day was the appearance of new century soul legend Raul Midon, who performed “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely,” and the voltage at the venue reached its climax. The tearful stage ended with Eddie Harris’s “Freedom Jazz Dance” performed by everyone to a standing ovation. Please enjoy it over and over again with the best official sound and video.
