Description

The precious footage from the Randy Rhoads era, which was very well received last year, has been upgraded! A much longer version has been decided to be released! This work contains two performances at the same venue on one day. This is an audience shot from the performance at the Palladium Theater on May 2, 1981. For those who experienced the previous version, “PALLADIUM 1981 THE VIDEO,” released last year, this will be repeated, but let’s introduce it again from the beginning. First of all, the position of the show. Let’s take a bird’s-eye view of the overall picture of the Randy era, when the members were replaced drastically. 1980: B Daisley, L Carslake, L Bridgewater; September 3rd – November 8th: UK (37 performances); 1981: R Sarzo, T Aldridge, L Bridgewater; April 22nd – September 13th: North America #1 (93 performances + UK 1); November 1st – December 2nd: Europe (11 performances); R Sarzo, T Aldridge, D Airey; December 30th + 31st: North America #2a (2 performances); 1982: January 1st – March 18th: North America #2b (45 performances); March 19th: Randy Rhoads dies; This is the journey until Randy’s death. The Palladium performance of this work was the same “Rudy Sarzo / Tommy Aldridge / Lindsay Bridgewater” formation as “TRIBUTE” and the famous pro shot “AFTER HOURS”. Especially close to “AFTER HOURS”, four days after the famous professional shot. It was the 10th/11th concert of “North America #1”, the longest leg. Now, let’s introduce the footage of the two performances individually. First half: Front row shot of the extended early show (about 34 minutes) First comes the early show footage. This is the audience shot that was also made official in the 30th anniversary box of “BLIZZARD OF OZZ / DIARY OF A MADMAN”. The most upgraded section is here, and “Revelation (Mother Earth)”, which was a moment (about 4 seconds) on the previous edition, is recorded for about 4 minutes and 40 seconds. This lengthening is very important. After all, the live scene of “AFTER HOURS” excluding the interview was 22 minutes, and the audience shot of the Chicago performance “ROSEMONT 1982” was about 24 minutes. In contrast, this version is actually “34 minutes”. Of course, it doesn’t reach the full show, but you can watch “Randy Rhoads moving” for such a long time, so it’s a rare treasure video. And the view is even more intense. It’s a front row shot. There is nothing in front of you, only the stage, and at the most zoomed in, the screen is filled with Ozzy’s bust. Moreover, since it is a live concert different from “AFTER HOURS”, both Ozzy and Randy are going wild. Ozzy is aware of the camera’s existence, and there is even a scene where he messes around in front of you. Apparently a film school student ran up to the front row with a Super 8mm in hand to shoot it, but it’s a super-spectacular view like a documentary video by the staff. Second half: Standard footage of a late show with replaced audio (about 20 minutes) The second half of this work is an audience shot of a late show at the same day and the same venue. This footage is a long-standing classic and is familiar from “LIVE FOOTAGE 1979-1981” and others, but this is the highest peak updated version. As with the previous edition, the best master has been adopted and replaced with the superb sound of the masterpiece “PALLADIUM 1981 2ND SHOW”. The difference is clear. Up until now, even though it was clear, it was not fresh and distorted, but this work is clear and clear. As mentioned in the commentary of the new press masterpiece, it feels completely different when you watch it with a sound that is “like a sound board”. The live scene is the first three songs of the show as before, but “Carmina Burana” before the show starts and “Believer” which ended halfway through are complemented by patching still images to the superb sound. It has been extended to about 20 minutes. A total of 54 minutes of treasure footage. Even if you combine the approximately 22 minutes of “AFTER HOURS” and the approximately 24 minutes of “ROSEMONT 1982”, it is nowhere near this work. This is the best masterpiece of ultra-realistic footage that allows you to meet the genius guitarist Randy Rhoads with the best master in existence. Audience shot of the “May 2, 1981 Palladium Performance”. The first half is a front row shot of the early show, a new master of about 34 minutes that is longer than the previous edition “Shades 2068”. The second half is a standard late show video of about 20 minutes, with the audio replaced with a superb soundboard-class recording. A cultural heritage site that allows you to experience the extremely rare Randy Rhoads era live for a total of approximately 54 minutes.
