Description

This is a happy release of a compilation of video clips and professional shot live footage of Ozzy Osbourne’s solo career. It’s a must-see 120 minutes for fans to enjoy Ozzy’s reign as a metal icon for 23 years from 1983’s “BARK AT THE MOON” to 2005’s “UNDER COVER”! After leaving BLACK SABBATH, Ozzy established his popularity with his solo career and led the rock scene since the 1980s as the “embodiment of heavy metal”. The important tool that increased his popularity is, of course, video clips. This is a wonderful example of the image strategy that amplified Ozzy’s character and kept him a hot topic. This work covers about 20 years of video clips from “BARK AT THE MOON”, when Ozzy started making video clips as a solo artist, to 2005’s “UNDER COVER”, from a master with excellent image quality and sound quality. You can enjoy a collection of video works that sensitively read the “changing times” while maintaining the image strategy mentioned above. The first half of this work contains clips of five songs from “BARK AT THE MOON” and “THE ULTIMATE SIN” when Jake E. Lee was a member of the band. The contrast between “Bark At The Moon”, which was produced with movie-like production costs and transformed Ozzy from a “madman” to a “werewolf”, and “So Tired”, which depicts a beautiful melody in a complete turn from the insane content, is a highlight. In addition, “Lightning Strikes” and “Shot In The Dark”, which are linked to the 1986 live video work, reflect the L.A. metal movement of the mid-’80s. The following 1987 versions of “Crazy Train” and “Goodbye To Romance” feature Randy Rhoads using live recordings from “TRIBUTE”. “Close My Eyes Forever” is a solo song by Lita Ford, but Ozzy, who sang a duet with her, also helped with the clip. All of these are of good quality, so fans should not miss them. From “Miracle Man” onwards, songs with Zakk Wylde are featured. The songs from “NO REST FOR THE WICKED” onwards also feature Geezer Butler’s participation. In particular, Ozzy seems to like not only the song but also the clip for “Crazy Babies”, so it is a point of interest for fans. “NO MORE TEARS”, which was made after Ozzy declared his retirement from live activities (though he eventually retracted it), is a work that he put his heart and soul into, and there are actually six clips for it. Among them, the title song “No More Tears”, the Grammy Award-winning “I Don’t Want To Change The World”, and “Mama I’m Coming Home”, which Ozzy remade until he was satisfied, are highly polished and can be said to be important scenes in this work. After “Mr. Crowley” and “Changes” from “LIVE & LOUD”, “Perry Mason”, “I Just Want You”, “See You On The Other Side” and “Back On Earth” from “OZZMOSIS”. The highlight of “Perry Mason” is seeing Joe Holmes, who joined the band as Zach’s replacement. “Gets Me Through” and “Dreamer” from “DOWN TO EARTH” in 2001. The former depicts modern heaviness, while the latter has a beautiful image that is the polar opposite of “Gets Me Through”, and each leaves a strong impression. And the last song is “In My Life” chosen from “UNDER COVER”. The combination of looking back on his career with various rare videos and covering THE BEATLES, which Ozzy loves, is extremely excellent. Just by watching the footage contained in this work, you can get the impression of overlooking the history of metal from the ’80s to recent years, making it a packed 120 minutes.
