Description
The release of “NASSAU COLISEUM 1981” has been met with a great response. The second installment of the album is a newly excavated live album. This album contains the “May 2, 1981 New York City performance.” It is a part of the “BLIZZARD OF OZZ TOUR 1980-1981” that made Randy Rhoads’ name known to the world. First of all, let’s check his position in the “trajectory of Ozzy & Randy,” who left behind a dense activity in a short period of time. {September 12th: Release of “BLIZZARD OF OZZ”}・September-November 1980: UK #1 (34 shows) = Change of rhythm section = {March 1981: Completion of “DIARY OF A MADMAN”}・April-July 1981: North America #1 (60 shows) ←★Here★・August 1981: UK #2 (HM HOLOCAUST)・August-September 1981: North America #2 (34 shows) {November 7th: Release of “DIARY OF A MADMAN”}・November 1981: Germany (7 shows)・November-December 1981: UK #3 (3 shows) = Change of keyboards =・December 1981-March 1982: North America #3 (46 shows) {March 19th: Randy Rhoads dies} This is the one year and six months that Ozzy and Randy walked. The other day’s “NASSAU COLISEUM 1981” was a new excavation from “North America #2”, but this New York City performance of this work is “North America #1”, which goes back about three months. This is the 10th concert. This day is also known as “the only two performances in one day in the Randy era”, and this work is the first show (it is also nine days before the Cleveland performance that became the main of “TRIBUTE”). Such New York City performances have been known for recording for a long time, and we have introduced it in our store in the masterpiece “COMPLETE PALLADIUM” of the Langley label. This work is “completely different” from such recordings. Like the previous “NASSAU COLISEUM 1981”, it is the 1st Gene Master announced by “KRW_CO” recently, but it is not an upgrade but a different recording itself. The quality is a magnificent vintage audience. The musical sound itself of this work is wonderful. The distance from the stage is also very close, and the dynamic and bright tone roars abundantly. The “ringing” is sticky, and the freshness of the 1st generation is extremely fresh. I said that the sense of stability is not so good, but that means that the wonderful moments are wonderful. The symbol of this is “Revelation (Mother Earth)”. The taste of this recording is utilized to the fullest, and the sense of closeness that makes you feel even Randy’s dramatic and delicate fingertips is fully demonstrated. The first show depicted with that quality is also incredibly wonderful. Both Ozzy and Randy are people who have waves of success and failure, but this work is in top form for both of them. There is no guitar solo after “Suicide Solution” (rare!), probably because of the time frame of “two performances a day”, but that doesn’t mean there is any sign of physical strength conservation. Randy’s beautiful phrases dance throughout the songs, and Ozzy’s singing voice stretches out pleasantly. “Steal Away (The Night)”, which was a mess at the second show on the same day, is also crisp at the first show. Also, it’s three months before the recent “NASSAU COLISEUM 1981”, so it’s a nice point to be able to listen to the early number “No Bone Movies”. In fact, there was a cut (just under 30 seconds) at the beginning of “No Bone Movies” due to a tape change, but in this work, it is compensated for by the master of “COMPLETE PALLADIUM” on the Langley label. It has been finished so that you can enjoy the entire show seamlessly. You can enjoy the rare songs that Ozzy will never sing again with a lot of direct feeling. A newly excavated recording that even the renowned masterpiece “COMPLETE PALLADIUM” is hazy. It’s a precious Randy era, but I never thought that a powerful second one would appear from the same performance… This is a special live album that has the newly excavated master in a complete version. Randy’s beautiful melody that still fascinates the world. A new classic is born! Live at Palladium, New York City, NY. USA 2nd May 1981 TRULY AMAZING/PERFECT SOUND (65:08) 1. Carmina Burana 2.
