Description

The Jake & Carmine era is the “strongest Ozzy Osbourne band” known only to enthusiasts. Two of their masterpiece live albums will be released at the same time. We have just introduced the masterpiece “HAMMERSMITH ODEON 1983 1ST NIGHT”, which was released for the first time in the world, but a further masterpiece recording has been unearthed. Moreover, there are two outrageous recordings of quality that exceeds the highest peak so far. This work is the first of such two series, “January 13, 1984 Binghamton performance”. This is the best audience recording. Anyway, this era is special. “BARK AT THE MOON TOUR” not only features the familiar Jake E. Lee/Don Airey/Bob Daisley, but also the legendary drummer Carmine Appice. It was a miraculous lineup, with all parts being the best of all time, both technically and tastefully. Unfortunately, however, the five-piece band, the strongest in rock history, was short-lived and collapsed. First of all, let’s look back at the peak era of such bubbles and check the position of the show. 1983《Jake joins》・January 12th-30th: Europe #1 (13 performances)《Bridgewater→Ailey change》・February 11th-April 5th: North America #1 (34 performances)《Costa→ Daisley replacement》・May 29th: US FESTIVAL ←Leaked SBD《Tommy Aldrich → Carmine Appice change》《“Howl at the Moon” released on November 15th》・November 10th – December 22nd: Europe #2 (32 performances) January 10th – February 20th, 1984: North America #2 (31 performances) ←★Coco★《Apis → Aldrich change》 This is the progress from Jake joining to Carmine leaving. After the legendary “US FESTIVAL ’83”, Tommy Aldridge left due to family reasons (apparently he had a child). Carmine joined the group for a tour starting around the time of the release of “Howl at the Moon”. After that, we performed about 30 performances each in Europe and North America, but all the records so far were “Europe #2”. On the other hand, this work is a live album of “North America #2” which was revised in 2018. [Carmine’s super-evolved performance is the best] Actually, this “North America #2” is super important. I thought it was just the legs being different, but it’s ridiculous. Carmine, who experienced “Europe #2”, has evolved tremendously. In fact, I was clearly better at the end of “Europe #2” than the beginning, but perhaps because I had rehearsed it after the Christmas break, my familiarity with the song and the arrangements and phrases had improved significantly. There is. The awesomeness is overwhelming from the opening “Crazy Train” (this song is also rare as the opening song). The beat that completely soaks into your body feels good and is full of playfulness. Anyway, I’d like you to listen to the rhythm from the A melody to the bridge. The parts that other past drummers would have done with simply keeping the rhythm are put together with a unique rhythm pattern that is full of dynamism (the expressiveness is amazing and makes you think it’s somehow “train-like”), and the phrases between the intervals are far better than the original. Extremely detailed. Moreover, the same repeated parts are completely different the first time and the second time, and are as versatile as singing. If an ordinary drummer repeats “Rhythm → Texture → Rhythm → Texture…”, this work’s “Crazy Train” is all about “Kime”. It’s like a drum solo while playing “Crazy Train”. Just one song makes me dizzy, but it’s scary because it goes on and on. “Mr. Crowley” and “Rock ‘n’ Roll Rebel” are filled with playful backbeats, and if you want to talk about the sharpness of “Bark At The Moon”… Tommy Aldridge is also a master, but he is a completely different actor… or should I say, his performance in this work is by far the best in all records from the Carmine era. [Super direct sound that is No. 1 in the Carmine era] I completely forgot to mention the amazing drumming, but the quality of this work is worthy of the name of a masterpiece. In fact, this is a new master that was recently selected by the prestigious excavator “Krw_co”, but this is not just a thing. This is the “luvsufo” collection, which is currently a hot topic. Although the name is difficult to pronounce, this collection is based on RAINBOW’s masterpiece “HARRISBURG 1982”, and has discovered one after another the best masters such as SCORPIONS, QUEEN, DEF LEPPARD, IRON MAIDEN, RIOT, etc. This work is the latest bullet. In fact, the sound of this work is on and very thick. The strength with no sense of distance and too vivid details are perfect sound board quality. Even the sound of the snare, which tends to give off an audience-like sound, has no sense of an audience record at all, and each hit is extremely clear. Moreover, this applies to Jake’s guitar, Don’s keyboard, and Ozzy’s vocals. Until now, the best sound of the Carmine era was “BARK AT THE PARIS”, but with the appearance of this work it is a story of the past. In the first half, there is a bit of chatter at the peak parts (such as the intro of “Mr. Crowley” and “Bark At The Moon”), so it cannot be said to be perfect, but it is a masterpiece sound that can not be expected any more in the Carmine era. In any case, this is a new excavated live album where you can enjoy the super famous performance of the strongest lineup in history with tremendous direct sound. Originally, I should have mentioned young Jake’s technique and Carmine’s drum solo that included call and response in a high-pitched voice, but if I mentioned it one by one, there would be no end. Up until now, I have repeatedly said with bitterness, “The Carmine era was amazing!”, but to be honest, I never thought it would be this much… The other day, in the commentary for “HAMMERSMITH ODEON 1983 1ST NIGHT”, I wrote that “Carmine immediately after joining has not reached the depth of Cozy SABBATH,” but Carmine in this work is definitely comparable to SABBATH during the Cozy era. Even those who are in love with “Ozzy from the Carmine era” will be surprised by this great performance, and even those who have wondered, “Is he really that different from Tommy?” in his previous works, will be knocked out by Carmine’s awesomeness. A new excavated live album that will shock you with the fact that such an amazing band existed in rock history.
