Description
In 1983, Ozzy Osbourne broke new ground by discovering Jake E. Lee, a hero with a completely different personality from Randy Rhoads. A new excavated live album that conveys the scene of the dawn where the phantom bassist Don Costa was also released. What is infused into this work is “January 19, 1983 Offenbach performance”. It is an exquisite audience recording that tells the whole story. This week, many masterpiece live albums from Jake’s era will be released simultaneously, but this work is the earliest among them. It was an act of the “SPEAK OF THE DEVIL Tour”, not the “BARK AT THE MOON Tour”. To get an idea of the situation, let’s look back at Jake’s schedule before and after he joined. 1982《“SPEAK OF THE DEVIL” released on November 27th》“SPEAK OF THE DEVIL Tour”・December 10th-20th: UK (7 performances)《Brad leaves → joins Jake》1983・January 12th -30th: Europe #1 (13 performances) ←★Coco★《Bridgewater → Ailey change》・February 11th – April 5th: North America (34 performances) 《Costa → Daisley change》・May 29th: Appearance at US FESTIVAL [“Bark at the Moon” released on November 15th] [Change of Aldrich to Apis / “Bark at the Moon” released on November 15th] “BARK AT THE MOON Tour” November 10th – December 22nd: Europe #2 (32 performances) This is the progress throughout 1983 since the release of “SPEAK OF THE DEVIL”. Initially, the “SPEAK OF THE DEVIL Tour” started with Brad Gilles, but was replaced by Jake at the end of the year. This work was the 5th performance of “Europe #1” immediately after that… In other words, it was Jake’s 5th stage. This work, which records such a concert, is a real sound that vividly revives the scene of the dawn. Although it is a vintage audience and not the type that can be mistaken for a sound board, the powerful core jumps straight through the thick sound, and you can clearly understand every word of the lyrics. And above all, the master’s freshness is tremendous. In fact, this work was recorded by Taper, whose relationship with MONSTERS OF ROCK has recently become a hot topic. MOTLEY CRUE’s CD “MONSTERS OF ROCK NUREMBERG 1984” and Ozzy’s “MONSTERS OF ROCK: KARLSRUHE 1984” will also be released at the same time, and this work is also a master collection. It is not a pop-up audience recording. The show drawn with that fresh sound is also extremely fresh. First of all, the face is extremely rare, and not only is Lindsay Bridgewater on the keyboard, but Don Costa is also on the bass. Yes, this is the man who was part of GREAT WHITE’s predecessor band and early W.A.S.P., and who has a legend that he would stick a cheese grater to the back of his bass guitar and play while covered in blood. This is a live album, so you can’t see if Costa is really covered in blood, but Jake’s lively performance is so real that it comes to mind. The rare song is “Children Of The Grave”, but the performance itself is rare. It seems like he hasn’t made it his own yet, but he already has no desire to imitate Randy, and his sharpness and excitement are amazing. The 25-year-old young man just burst onto the scene and his enthusiastic performance is dazzling. A stage that only existed in 1983, when Jake E. Lee, who had just made his professional debut, and the legendary Don Costa lined up. This is a new historical excavation live album that brings out such rare scenes from the speakers. An ultra-realistic on-site experience that only Omoto Master Sound can provide!A newly discovered audience recording of the “January 19, 1983 Offenbach performance” where Jake E. Lee’s 5 performances included the legendary bassist: Don Costa.
