Description

In 2006, Olivia Newton-John performed a full-scale concert with an orchestra in her hometown of Australia. The super best pro shot has been decided to be released. This work includes “March 2006 Sydney Performance”. Olivia returned to her homeland as part of a tour and performed four consecutive orchestra co-starring shows at the Opera House, one of Australia’s most famous venues. This is a multi-camera pro shot consisting of those 4 performances. Speaking of 2006, it was also a time when two tours “2006 WORLD TOUR” and “GRACE AND GRATITUDE TOUR” intersected. First, let’s check the show’s position from the schedule at that time. “2006 WORLD TOUR”・March 1st-8th: Japan (6 performances)・March 14th-18th: Australia (4 performances) ←★Here★ “GRACE AND GRATITUDE TOUR”・August 3rd-12th Sun: North America #1 (8 performances) [“GRACE AND GRATITUDE” released on August 25th] October 11th – November 18th: North America #2 (22 performances) November 29th – December 10th: North America #3 (8 performances) This is Olivia in 2006. They toured Japan and Australia under the title of “2006 WORLD TOUR,” and toured North America around the time of the release of the album “GRACE AND GRATITUDE.” As many of you may have already noticed, this show will also be released as the official work “LIVE AT THE SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE”. This is a masterpiece video that is familiar to fans. However, this work is not a copy of that official product. This is the Japanese broadcast version of the special program “Western Music Live Legend: Best Hits Live 2006″ broadcast on a certain satellite broadcasting station in August 2011. Our store delivers music program archives by domestic recorders, and this work is the latest. August 2011 was a time when I was worried every day that there would be another rolling blackout due to the power shortage caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake. This is a master recorded under such circumstances (although this is unrelated to this work, Olivia was also the first female foreign singer to hold a concert in Fukushima after the earthquake). In any case, the quality of this work is superb. Since it is also an official work, it is naturally completely official. Digital broadcasting and recording without deterioration. It is truly an iron-clad ultra-excellent pro shot. However, it is not completely the same as the official product. At the beginning, there is a corner introducing Olivia’s career (the narration is done by a half-Japanese person who is also a descendant of Mitsuhide Akechi), and there are also off-shots of her walking around Sydney and Olivia’s MC that are unique to the program. Japanese subtitles are included. “It feels great to be back in my hometown.” “This performance will last forever because we’re filming. Anyone who came with an affair should go home.” “I recorded a CD for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.” “Sexy husky voice.” I smoked cigarettes because I wanted to be like that.”Her message is conveyed directly. The show depicted with such visual beauty is a greatest hits recorded with an orchestra. All songs are included without any cuts from the official product. Let’s organize the contents here. ●70s (11 songs)・IF NOT FOR YOU: If Not For You・LET ME BE THERE: Let Me Be There・IF YOU LOVE ME, LET ME KNOW: If You Love Me, Let Me Know/I Honestly Love You・HAVE YOU NEVER BEEN MELLOW: Please Mister Please/Have You Never Been Mellow ・COME ON OVER: Jolene ・DON’T STOP BELIEVIN’: Don’t Stop Believin’ ・GREASE: You’re The One That I Want/Hopelessly Devoted To You/Summer Nights ●80’s (10 songs)・XANADU: Magic/Xanadu/Dancin’/Suddenly・PHYSICAL: Physical/Make A Move On Me/The Promise (The Dolphin Song)・GREATEST HITS VOL.2: Heart Attack・TWO OF A KIND: Twist Of Fate・THE RUMOUR: The Rumour ●After the 90’s (6 songs)・GAIA: ONE WOMAN’S JOURNEY: Not Gonna Give In To It ・2: Tenterfield Saddler・INDIGO: WOMEN OF SONG: Cry Me A River/STRONGER THAN BEFORE: Stronger Than Before/Can I Trust Your Arms/Serenity…and so on. While there are also 21st century numbers such as “2,” “INDIGO: WOMEN OF SONG,” and “STRONGER THAN BEFORE,” there are plenty of big hits from the 70s and 80s. The ensemble is gorgeous, with an entire orchestra…it’s not like that. A full orchestra is on stage from the beginning, but the main characters in the beginning are just the regular band members. Some songs are supported by several strings, while others are sung simply and deeply with just an acoustic band. This is a style in which the orchestra supplements the necessary parts depending on the song. The atmosphere begins to change from the middle of the song, “Physical.” An intro with a full orchestra has been added, and the mood suddenly becomes special. Then, from around “Dancin’”, which introduces the members and conductor, the orchestra is featured more and more, gorgeously coloring the masterpieces. Olivia sings a collection of classic songs with an orchestra. This is a multi-camera professional shot where you can stare at her for 2 hours and 10 minutes in super high quality that was officially released. One of the highest quality performances, songs, and quality. Live at the Sydney Opera House, Sydney, Australia March 2006 Broadcast Date: 10th August 2011 (129:44) 1. Intro 2. Opening 3.
