Description

The group, which has finished work on Oasis’ 1990 rock album “(WHAT’S THE STORY) MORNING GLORY?”, which can be described as a rare masterpiece, will be performing live mainly at festivals from June to July. This could be called the first peak in 1995. During this period, there is an extremely famous performance called Glastonbury, and another famous performance called Roskilde Festival is also well known to enthusiasts. The expression “time when the fat is on the line” fits perfectly. While those were both records of the June 1995 stage, in July he served as the opening act for REM at several performances. Due to the nature of the opening act, there are no broadcast sound sources from this period, but fortunately there are audience recordings with excellent sound quality. This is the live performance at Slane Castle in Slane on July 22nd that will be released this time. It’s an outdoor venue where many big names have held concerts, so if you’re a rock fan, you’ve probably heard of the venue name before. Items by various artists who have performed here often include credits from Dublin, but in fact, the venue was never located in Dublin. However, most people will probably go to this venue via Dublin, so it would be similar to going from Tokyo to Tokyo Disneyland via Chiba. To tell you the truth, when I first released this song, I mistakenly thought it was from Dublin (bitter smile). Even so, the sound quality of the audience recording on this day is outstanding. The fact that it was recorded using a DAT recorder was also successful, and the sound image was turned on anyway. This is the recording state that should be described as “like a soundboard”. That alone guarantees ease of listening, but another big advantage is that because it was an opening act for other artists, there was no loud chorus that tends to occur at Oasis live performances. The environment in which the sound image is close and the surrounding sounds are not bothersome is effective, making it exceptionally easy to listen to among the 1995 Oasis audience recordings. Although it is a superb sound source boasting such high quality, it is no surprise that until now it has only been released as a bonus CD for the 2002 live broadcast item “ARE YOU GONNA BE THE ONE WHO SAVES ME?” I can’t. Even a British Oasis researcher who has been providing and supervising sound sources other than Kinney Master said, “This is my favorite show. I really want you to release this.” Of course, for this release, it was recorded again from the DAT master copy version that was circulating on the internet. Although the original sound quality was very good, there was a problem in the first half of “Acquiesce” where the volume during recording decreased, so this area was carefully adjusted. We restored it to its natural state, as if such problems never existed. Not only is the sound quality wonderful, but Oasis’ performance on this day is also wonderful. I thought it wouldn’t be exciting because it was REM’s opening act, and they were playing in front of an audience that didn’t even sing in chorus, but they were making them excited with their high-temperature performance that was unique to this time of year. As proof of this, when they started playing “Hello,” which had not yet been released at the time, the audience rushed in front of them and the band immediately stopped playing. Noel is calling for caution in a strong tone, making it a very scary scene. It was as if they were predicting something that would happen at their live show in Manchester 10 years later. Above all else, Liam’s voice is in top condition. To begin with, it was a time when I didn’t have many bad days and my voice sounded interesting on any given day, so it felt really good to listen to it. It is a thrilling performance that rivals Glastonbury and Roskilde. Songs from “MORNING GLORY” such as “Hello”, “Roll With It”, which was played in a new way, and “Don’t Look Back In Anger”, which has not yet become an anthem, look fresh. In the midst of all this, Liam’s coolness exclaims, “Come on!” at the beginning of the finale, “I Am The Walrus.” After all, this time of year is special. In front of “Don’t Look~” and “Rock ‘n’ Roll Star,” there is a scene where Alan White plays a silly rhythm, and as he gains experience on tour, he becomes a master drummer who silently creates rhythms. You can also get a glimpse of the freshness that can only be seen right after he joined the team. This is a great sound source and great performance that has many things to listen to. This is an audience album with the highest quality sound that captures the summer oasis that was the first peak in 1995! Slane Castle, Slane, Ireland 22nd July 1995 TRULY PERFECT SOUND (66:59) 01.
