Description

After completing a series of warm-up events held across Europe, Oasis will perform at the legendary Finsbury Park for three nights in a row in July, but before that they will hold concerts in their home country of England in July. Hull Arena on the 2nd. This was the last gig held before Finsbury Park in 2002, so it was an important night that could be said to be the final finishing touch. Even though it is a gig in front of Finsbury Park, it is a historical sound source that has enough value for enthusiasts to pay attention to, but the listening experience of the audience recording that captures this concert is wonderful. There is a sense of depth or distance in the performance, and in that respect the quality is not for everyone. However, it is at a level where enthusiasts can enjoy it without any problems, and the deep sound image may be easier to hear. After all, it was a gig just before Finsbury Park, so the excitement at the venue was great, and there was an enthusiastic chorus even for the song recorded in “HEATHEN CHEMISTRY”, which had just been released. However, the chorus does not completely cover the performance, and the key point is that even though the sound image has depth, Oasis’ performance can be heard clearly. Among them, Liam Gallagher’s voice is captured with a good balance, and you can clearly see that he is in top form ahead of the big day ahead. The quality of Liam’s voice and the high level of tension are quite impressive, and it perfectly predicts Finsbury Park. In fact, Liam’s engine is at full throttle at a level that can be understood at first listen from the opening “Hello”, and the momentum is so amazing that it reaches its peak as early as “Hung In A Bad Place”. However, when it comes to shouting “you got me!”, there is still some awkwardness that is typical of the early stages of the tour. Since then, they have been singing most of the songs with great enthusiasm, making us realize that it was a very special time. Not to be outdone by his younger brother, Noel Gallagher is full of energy, and you can tell by his talkative MC before starting “She’s Electric” or by listening to “Don’t Look Back In Anger” again that he’s in a good mood. You can also feel how she sings the song in a lively manner, and then has the audience happily sing along to the chorus. It could be called a masterpiece because the strengths of the two Gallagher brothers, the free-spirited Liam and the relaxed Noel, were brought to full play. For example, even when Liam was too excited to sing “Stop Crying Your Heart Out,” which was a new song at the time, he failed to sing, Noel followed closely and continued singing. Even the incident that shows how Oasis was firing on all cylinders that day is hilarious. We want enthusiasts to enjoy the hyper stage just before Finsbury Park, and this CD is perfect for the release of the Berlin gig, which was also at its best.
