Description

A monumental piece of Oasis collector’s item, this is Oasis’s pinnacle performance, which attracted 250,000 people over two days, with an estimated 2.6 million British citizens participating in a ticket battle over the phone. Even if you cut it out, it was a legendary two days. The biggest and strongest in Oasis history, the two-day recording of the August 10th and 11th, 1996 performances at Knebworth Park in England, which made the band members say, “Maybe Oasis should have ended there.” The 6-disc set that includes all of them, the top item, “THE SECOND SUMMER OF LOVE -DEFINITIVE EDITION”, which has been out of print for a long time and was traded at a considerably high price at online auctions etc.!!DISC 1 and DISC 2. Up to the 4th track is from the BBC broadcast sound source, the remaining tracks on DISC 2 are interviews, and the 12th track is Day Tripper, which Liam co-starred with Ocean Color Sheen. Up to the 10th track of DISC 3 and DISC 4, the first day is completely recorded with audience recording. The sound quality is a little rough, but the excitement is much higher than on the second day. The remaining tracks are recorded from broadcast sound sources. DISC 5 and DISC 6 include all songs from the second day’s soundboard sound source, which combines the BBC broadcast sound source with equalization and the leaked professional shot source. The three bonus tracks are included from THERE AND THEN’s supplementary single. Wonderwall was performed at Earl’s Court on November 4, 1995, Cigarettes & Alcohol was performed at Main Road on April 28, 1996, and only the final Champagne Supernova was recorded on the second day of Knebworth. As part of the upgrade, DISC1-2, which includes FM sound sources, has the tone and volume balanced without exaggerated equalization, blank noise removal that was in DISC1/TRACK14, and correction of the switching part from DISC1 to DISC2. . The interview track was edited for the track change part, which was broken up, and “Day Tripper”, which is sandwiched between the interviews, was remastered with the aim of carefully “tidying up” the album as a whole, such as increasing the volume. It has been. DISC3-4 is an audience recording, and by peeling off the veil of the tone that tended to be muffled in DISC3, and aligning the sound images that were scattered on the left and right toward the center, the core can be heard. Originally, there was a difference in sound quality between DISC3 and DISC4, so the volume balance of DISC4 was adjusted to match DISC3. The soundboard sound source of the bonus track has also been remastered to avoid extreme volume differences with the audience recording track. The second day’s sound source, which is the main part of DISC5-6, is originally [a version of the FM sound source of DISC1-2 that was equalized by Flashbulb Label], so it was intentionally created as an original without any new equalization. Recorded with flashbulb equalization (only the track changes have been slightly adjusted). Each bonus track has been remastered and adjusted individually.
