Description

To commemorate the release of the overwhelming remastered and remixed version of Yokohama’s 2000 Japan tour, which has been a long time since the release itself, we have prepared a video of the Yokohama performance on the same day! As with the 1998 Budokan, the nostalgic “Rozy Project” left us with an audience shot taken from the audience seats this time too! However, since this was just before the label’s status was established, it is not an amazing quality shot as seen at the time after 2002, but rather an ordinary audience shot. Indeed, the level of the ordinary audience shot at that time, such as “the screen is dark overall,” “there is a lot of camera shake,” and “the sound is distorted.” Nevertheless, the excitement of the time, which is different from this “DEFINITIVE YOKOHAMA 2000 1ST NIGHT OF THE TOUR: 2025 REMASTER & REMIX”, is firmly captured, and it is a level that is appreciated that it was taken with such image quality in the 2000 era. The cheers were huge, and the cheers that were unique to the first day of Oasis’ Japan tour, which had a much larger audience than before, were also very heartwarming (although the sound was distorted due to this). It also captured the entire Oasis team taking on the stage with enthusiasm, as it was the first day of their first full-scale tour after the member changes, and it was only because of the video that you could see Liam’s lively singing of the rare repertoire “Some Might Say” that was unique to this day. And as I said at the beginning, the video is generally dark, but for some reason it goes well with Noel (lol). The scene of the “Whole Lotta Love” jam at the end of “Cigarettes & Alcohol”, and the scene of Noel singing while playing the Rickenbacker in the following “Don’t Look Back In Anger” were captured nicely thanks to the brighter lighting. The best part is that at the end of the live performance, he was able to get a thumbs up from the audience with satisfaction after finishing the first day of the tour. As a whole, the footage is merely a complement to this spectacular release, but as it is a rare record of the first day of their 2000 Japan tour that is no longer available on YouTube, it is a must-see for enthusiasts!
