Description
The various releases from the two days of Knebworth were a dream come true for fans. This brought the “Second Summer Of Love” outdoor gigs of the summer of 1996 back into the spotlight. The pinnacle of this was Knebworth, where a total of seven outdoor gigs were held. August 3rd & 4th: Loch Lomond, Scotland August 7th: Stockholm August 10th & 11th: Knebworth (Congratulations! Official release) August 14th & 15th: Cork, Ireland ←★Here★ These August outdoor gigs were held during a time when Knebworth’s presence was so great that there were almost no items on other days. In addition, the vast venue made it difficult to find a recording position, which only exacerbated the situation. Stockholm was barely released as “BEFORE THE KNEBWORTH”, which made the enthusiasts groan, but there are no other current items. The final day of the glorious period of 1996 was held twice at Pairc Ui Chaoimh (I don’t know how to pronounce it) football stadium in Cork, Ireland. Although there are videos and audio sources for these two days, they are only “for now”. Each of them had some quality issues, so it was difficult to release them as items. Still, maniacs want to get a glimpse of the atmosphere after Knebworth. Especially now, when various Knebworth releases are getting excited. Here we provide an audience shot video of the first day in Cork. This video was fairly well known among Oasis traders, but since it was an audience shot in 1996, it was naturally shot with a single 8mm video camera, and the shot was taken from the back seat of the vast football stadium, so it was basically a close-up angle. It was fine until the maniacs blew it up and made it into a file, but this exceeded the resolution of the original video, and the band on stage was a bit pixelated. The version uploaded to YouTube was compressed and became extremely difficult to see, but this time it is a version circulating among traders without such a process, so it is much easier to see than the one on YouTube. Also, although you can’t see the expressions of the members on stage due to the reasons mentioned above, you can still clearly see Liam walking around the stage freely. At Knebworth, he was dressed in a white-based fashion for both days, but on this day he wore a black jacket, which was quite contrasting and impressive. The same goes for Noel, who wore a turtleneck on both days at Knebworth, but a white shirt on this day. Of course, the quality is only for maniacs, and it is also true that it is the kind of video that you can watch while doing something else, but it still conveys a completely different atmosphere from Knebworth. Liam seems very relaxed in the first half of the gig, as he had just finished the big event at Knebworth. It’s interesting that he is clearly different from the high-tension he was in a few days ago. However, his tension rises again around “Morning Glory”, and when he plays “Whatever” and “My Big Mouth” (which had not yet been released), Liam is seen in a different high-tension state than he was at Knebworth. Again, this is a video for enthusiasts. Nevertheless, it is certainly a valuable video that captures the final stages of an outdoor gig in August 1996, when Liam was in high spirits after finishing Knebworth. Just seeing him in “black” fashion, as opposed to the “white” Liam at Knebworth, is enough to enjoy! Pairc Ui Chaoimh, Cork, Ireland 14th August 1996 (104:03) 1. Intro 2. Supersonic 3. Hello 4.
