Description

Our first live show in 1996 was on January 10th in Utrecht. This day was recorded for radio and later broadcast. Based on this, items such as “1996” and “GET YER KICKS IN ’96” were created at the time, but all of them were edited in the same order as they were when they were broadcast, and they were also cut when they were broadcast. There was a problem that “Morning Glory” and “Don’t Look Back In Anger” were not included. However, this time, the British Oasis researcher sent us a literal complete set with all songs in the correct order. The sound quality deteriorates a bit for the two songs that were cut during the broadcast, but noise still occurs in “Morning Glory” like the CD-R “UTRECHT 1996 COMPLETE” that was the forerunner of the previously released complete version. There is no drop in sound quality, and it is fully audible. After all, it was originally a stereo soundboard recording for broadcasting. Even so, Liam looked like he was really suffering that day. It feels extra detailed because of the sound board. From the beginning of “Supersonic”, his voice becomes rough, and by the next song, “Hello”, it is already in a bad state. The same song was a turning point in Bielefeld, but while Liam’s voice got rough there and he got better at the end, the contrast here is that his condition gets worse and worse. In “Some Might Say,” Noel sings every time the chorus hits. With Liam in such good shape, Noel’s heart-throbbing singing and excitement during the singing corner were even more impressive. For that reason, it can be said that it is a high point that this time even “Morning Glory” is well recorded. And although it is good that Liam has returned with “Live Forever”, he sings as if he is no longer writhing. In the end, I gave up on singing and completely devoted myself to Noel. The slump so far has been well broadcast. Moreover, all the items released in 1996 are now fossil-level and hard to obtain. At the same time, it is also a very good document that shows how remarkable Liam’s recovery was in Bielefeld. Vredenburg Music Centre, Utrecht, Holland 10th January 1996 STEREO SBD (56:50) 1.
