Description

With Giggsy back in his original pod in November 1995 Oasis played a glorious two-day gig at Earl’s Court. Therefore, it is generally thought that it was a time when he had a strong impression of joining the ranks of big names (even in Japan, the two days at Earl’s Court were widely reported), but that is only a story in the UK. On a global scale, we still have a long way to go, and 10 days after Earl’s Court, we actually played a gig at a theater class venue in France. Now, the impression of Earl’s Court is so strong that when I think of the sound sources from November 1995, I even feel that the items are concentrated on those two days. In real time, some items containing sound sources after Earl’s Court were also released, but that is a long time ago. What valuable sound sources will be included in the first delivery of “BALTIMORE 1995 DAT MASTER” this time! It contains an audience recording of a theater gig held in Nantes, France (sorry, bitter smile). It is an audience recording that looks like it was recorded with a cassette Walkman at the time, and there is no hope for the clarity like the DAT audience that was emerging at the time. It may be fair to say that the recording is a bit rough. However, the sound images are surprisingly close, especially Liam’s voice and Noel’s guitar are surprisingly on-sound images, so if you are a maniac, you will probably enjoy it. Above all, it is very interesting that they were able to perform a gig with such a homely atmosphere less than 10 days after the Earl’s Court. From the opening, Noel introduces the song title by saying, “The first song is ‘Swamp Song,'” and then begins the instrumental, which is unusual. On the other hand, Noel and the audience are already in a call-and-response state during “Cast No Shadow,” and it’s been more than a month since the album “MORNING GLORY” was released, and it shows how it has permeated the fans. Let me ask you. However, the venue itself seemed to be lively, with some female fans persistently screaming (or rather screaming) between songs. The reason why I said “It seems” is because the balance of the sound produced by the brothers mentioned earlier is so great that no surrounding sounds are picked up during the performance, so at first glance it seems like it might be an illusion that “Isn’t it exciting?” Because it will happen. In any case, it’s really interesting that they were able to perform a live show with such a boxy atmosphere during such a glorious period with the release of “MORNING GLORY” and two days at Earl’s Court. Therefore, it is different from the high-tension performance like that time, but the band can be seen taking on the stage while relaxing in the moderately sized venue, and the scene where Noel introduces the song at the beginning is like that. That’s probably the best example. Liam was also in great condition on this day, giving us a relaxed singing voice in a relaxed atmosphere. She attacks with her singing voice in true “MORNING GLORY” mode. After all, the remaining months of 1995 after the album’s release seemed like a special time. The audience gathered in Nantes may be responding with screams in front of this cool singing voice. Although it is certainly a rough recording (it may be said to be AM radio-like) that is different from the DAT recording-like honor student audience, it is a rare live sound source from November 1995 that can be fully enjoyed due to the closeness of the sound image as mentioned above. . Therefore, although it is a sound source for enthusiasts, the content is the best! La Trocardiere, Nantes, France 14th November 1995 TRULY AMAZING SOUND (80:00) 01. The Swamp Song 02. Acquiesce 03.
