Description
Recorded on the sound board of the 1996 Manchester Main Road performance, which is famous as one of Oasis’ three major gigs and is far too famous for fans! Over two days from April 27th to 28th. This performance attracted approximately 60,000 people and is a shining record of the band’s rise to become one of the UK’s biggest bands. There are many fans who became addicted to Oasis at this main road performance, and there is no doubt that they will be overwhelmed by the tremendous power from beginning to end. And now, this item, which has been released from the SUPER SONIC label, has been 24BIT remastered and rewritten, and the sound is as clear as if a veil had been peeled off. With this item, you can enjoy the excitement of historic gigs to the fullest, making it a must-have item for not only OASIS fans, but all rock fans. On this day, Liam was in very good condition, and the performance was quite well-organized and worth listening to. A big cheer rises from the opening The Swamp Song, and as if in response, Liam shouts “Manchester, Maine Road mad for it!!!” in the song. Of course, being local, all songs were sung in chorus. The flow of Hello-Some Might Say-Roll With It has a “rushing” feel typical of this time of year, and it really has a tremendous momentum! That momentum was evident throughout the MC, and Liam’s speech after Round Are Way was completely random and meaningless. In contrast to the first half, the second half was a set centered around Noel’s acoustic guitar. Four songs from Whatever feature strings, and this is the first time this arrangement has been performed. By the way, Cast No Shadow on this day is dedicated to John Squire of STONE ROSES who came to the venue. Also, in Wonderwall, Noel says he will dedicate it to Meg, and Liam makes fun of him. And before I Am The Walrus begins, there is a very unusual scene where Noel plays D’Yer Wanna Be A Spaceman? and Liam sings for a moment. I Am The Walrus also includes a brass section and harmonica, so it’s pretty hot! And the last song is Cum On Feel The Noize, which is familiar from soccer. The only live version of this song is the one sung by Noel during 2 days on Main Road and when he appeared on “Later With Jools Holland” in 1995. Midway through, Liam threw the microphone away and stopped singing, and the performance ended after only Noel’s chorus continued. While giving feedback on his guitar, he leaves the stage, leaving the audience with the words, “To the greatest fans in the world, from the greatest band in the world. Good night!” It was a live show that could be called the conclusion of early Oasis, with a very exciting and fast-paced performance!!
