Description
The definitive version of Oasis’ 1995 performance, “DEFINITIVE GLASTONBURY 1995: 30TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION,” will be released, but at that 1995 Glastonbury Festival, Noel also performed on stage with Oasis, and the performance was broadcast. Noel performed “Cast No Shadow” and “Roll With It” on the day of Oasis’ performance, and “Wonderwall” the next day in the backyard of the festival. The latter in particular is well known to enthusiasts because the television footage remains. Both were high-quality stereo soundboard recordings, so they were regular sources of Oasis’s acoustic compilations, but that’s a thing of the past. Such items themselves are difficult to obtain nowadays, and since the actual Glastonbury performance fits perfectly on one CD, it is impossible to record them together. So we’ve complemented Noel’s performance with his guitar to go with “DEFINITIVE GLASTONBURY 1995: 30TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION”. As for “Wonderwall”, we’ve achieved the longest recording by combining nostalgic items such as “WORKING CLASS HERO” and KTS’s “ACOUSTIC SESSIONS” for the song part. Furthermore, as for “Cast No Shadow”, by recording it from a radio broadcast disc, we’ve achieved the longest recording from the song introduction, which had been cut from all past items, and it’s also recorded with the highest sound quality, so there’s no room for error. And there’s the very rare “Roll With It” Noel guitar version, but unfortunately, only an excerpt was played and it’s far from the full size. Still, it’s an extremely valuable acoustic version, and there should be many people who will be hearing it for the first time. Thus, although the total recording is less than 10 minutes, the sound quality is the best throughout the entire sound board, and it’s a rare Noel guitar version that is indispensable for complementing this definitive edition of Glastonbury.
