The 20th anniversary super deluxe edition of Norah Jones’ masterpiece “COME AWAY WITH ME” has finally been released, and is attracting attention. The super-excellent professional shot of the video version has been decided to be released. Norah’s debut work and historic masterpiece “COME AWAY WITH ME”. Not only did it dominate the charts in various countries around the world upon its release, but it also won an astonishing eight Grammy Awards. It boasts sales of about 30 million copies and is still one of the greatest debuts of all time. The deluxe edition celebrating the 20th anniversary was released just the other day, and to commemorate the release, a streaming live performance of the entire album (plus α) was distributed. This work is a DVD made from the best master. The quality is, of course, completely official… but in fact it is even better. This video is not a so-called concert stage, but a studio live performance with the band gathered in a room like a cottage. Although the applause of the staff can be heard, there is no audience, and the band is concentrating on the performance. The video has a “PV” feel rather than a “show”, with well-crafted camerawork and editing, and an extremely glossy and elegant texture. Although the theme is live performance, it feels more like a “movie” than a so-called “live video”. The beautiful images are truly like a work of art, and they are not the only ones that are depicted. Three songs have been added in addition to the album songs, and the order of the songs is also different. In between are three songs, “A Little At A Time,” “Fragile,” and “What Would I Do Without You,” which are also related to “COME AWAY WITH ME.” The official deluxe edition came with a bonus album outtake collection, “THE ALLAIRE SESSIONS,” and these three songs are unreleased songs included in it. In other words, this work is both a live performance/video version of “COME AWAY WITH ME” and an extended version (it may not be called the “complete version” because it does not include the remaining unreleased song “I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight”). The official super deluxe edition, released as a 3-CD set, did not include any video material. This work fills that gap. It is an absolute must-have work to be collected alongside the official work. When it comes to such a masterpiece, I don’t know how the official will handle it. First of all, I want as many people as possible to experience it… This release is filled with such feelings.
