Description

From Night Ranger’s Japan tour, which will be their 12th visit to Japan in three years with their new album “High Road” in 2013, the live performance at Shibuya Public Hall on October 5th, the first day of the tour, was completely recorded with the highest quality audience recording that can be said to be the best of this tour, which has rejected all previous recordings! The original master is used. Recording is from Brad Gillis’ side in the 8th row on the first floor. It is a perfect recording that can be said to show the outstanding technique of the recorder and the quality of the equipment, which makes it seem that the sound output of the PA on the day alone cannot be recorded with such good sound. From the first song “Touch Of Madness” with the sound that jumps out of the speaker with tremendous sound pressure and direct feeling, you will think that this is an amazing recording. All the ranges are clear and there is no shortage or excess, and the separation of each instrument is also perfect! The vividness of the guitar and keyboard is especially amazing. This live performance in Tokyo, which can be heard in the highest sound quality, is a must-listen not only for fans but for all hard rock fans (I compared it with all the recording takes available, including the in-ear monitor sound source, and it was recorded with outstanding sound closeness and outstanding super high sound quality). Before coming to Japan, even the members were surprised by the departure of Joel Hoekstra and the replacement with Keri Kelly, but they delivered us the most enjoyable rock show as usual. Keri Kelly, who served as a pinch hitter when Joel Hoekstra was absent for a while, was in perfect sync with Brad Gillis, and her appearance of playing happily with a rock look was completely familiar to the band. Since fans had requested songs they wanted to hear in advance, the set list for all performances changed daily. Many hit songs and representative songs were played on this day, and it can be said that the set list allows you to enjoy the royal road of Night Ranger. Rare songs such as “Penny” from the first album, which was played for the first time in a long time, are also worth listening to. They also played School’s Out by Alice Cooper, the band Keri Kelly was in. Fans will be thoroughly entertained. The barrage of hit songs at the end of the show creates a wonderful peak. They first came to Japan in 1983, but the stage design for this show, with a tiered platform at the back center of the stage, was similar to their first visit 31 years ago, so Jack Blades was constantly talking about their first visit. This item, which completely records the live performance of this day, which moved us with a high-quality, fun, and great performance that has not changed since then, with the original members Jack Blades, Brad Gillis, and Kelly Keagy at the center, with the best sound quality ever, is a must-have for fans.
