The latest and best live album is now available. The North American tour has entered its second week, and they are going even better. Currently, the tour has progressed to the 13th performance in Milwaukee, and the Irvine performance of this work was the 8th concert. I was able to introduce all the performances until the 5th performance, but here it is a bit of a warp. In fact, the recording itself has appeared, but it did not reach the level worthy of introduction. Of course, we would like to maintain a complete archive, but we also place importance on maintaining a high level of quality so that customers can purchase our products with peace of mind. And the quality of this work is far from clearing that level. It’s a superb sound with an extremely wonderful “super” quality. The best masterpiece of the North American tour so far is “LOS ANGELES 2019 2ND NIGHT (Amity 538)”, but this work is also comparable to that masterpiece. The most amazing thing is the extremely thick core and closeness that I would like to call “just like a sound board.” I don’t know the details of the position other than “first floor seats in front of the stage”, but there is no sense of distance. The balance from treble to deep bass is excellent, and there is no downside to the response. Despite the powerful sound, it doesn’t shake at all and doesn’t cause any shaking that would cause you to get lost in the direction of the microphone. It is a superb recording that brilliantly clears the standards that “LA 2019 2ND NIGHT” has raised all at once. Of course, that being said, the sound of this work is different from “LA 2019 2ND NIGHT”. The biggest difference is the sound. Although there is no sense of distance in both works, if you listen closely with headphones, you will notice the presence of hall noise, which also affects the tone level. While “LA 2019 2ND NIGHT” was a glaring and shining type, this work is closer to an exposed PA sound, and the snare hitting sound in particular even sounds like a direct-to-table soundboard. There is a very small amount of ringing, creating a (slight) sense of fantasy of early FLOYD. The secret to this sound is probably in the venue. The venue, Toyota Music Factory, is a brand new venue that has only been open for a year and a half, but its structure is also unique. Although it is an indoor space with a ceiling, there are no walls to the sides or rear of the audience seats, making it wide open to the outdoors. Therefore, although the echoes from the ceiling rain down on us, they do not wrap around us. The result is an exquisite sound that has a direct feel and a sense of openness similar to the outdoors, while also giving a hint of spectacle. The world of SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS that has reached an impregnable level is played with such quality. I have introduced the set in detail in the previous explanations, but this Irvine performance is the 6th performance after it is completely solidified. There is no longer any wavering in the ensemble, and there is no stagnation in the flow. Still, there is a two-day off before this work, so the condition is perfect.
