The project “SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS” launched by Nick Mason in 2018 will only play early Floyd numbers, which has caused a great response from Floyd fans around the world. After playing several gigs in the UK in the spring, a full-fledged European tour will begin on September 2nd. And finally, while only 6 performances were performed in the UK again, the third performance, the Birmingham performance on September 25th, was completely recorded for 111 minutes with a soundboard level audience recording. The recording using the latest digital equipment and high-end microphone is of a quality that can be declared the best of this tour, and is at a level that can be passed as an official bootleg. The day started with “Interstellar Overdrive,” followed by “Astronomy Domine,” which Gilmour also played solo, “Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun,” which Roger also featured, and, of course, “Lucifer Sam.” 60’s Floyd numbers such as “Bike” and “Let There Be More Light” were performed one after another, as well as “Whisper of Dawn” and “Mystery” as well as early singles “Arnold Layne”, “See Emily Play” and “Point Me At”. “The Sky”, “The Nile Song” from “More”, “Green Is The Colour”, etc. And even the newest one is “Obscured By Clouds/When You’re In” from “Kumo no Kage”, and there is nothing after “Madness”. This area has become almost a fixed set since this Euro tour, and Barrett’s “Vegetable Man”, as well as “Atom Heart Mother”, a 9-minute length with “If” in front and behind, and “Atomic Heart Mother” are also included.
