Description
The special project “New York Rock and Soul Revue” that lasted from 1989 to 1992 is well known for the official release of the 1991 show, but 1989 was the first time this project was unveiled. The early and late show at Lone Star appears for the first time on Soundboard Master! Steely Dan’s Donald Fagen, Dr. John, Phoebe Snow, unique violinist Mindy Joston, and others appeared one after another, performing songs such as “Time Is on My Side,” which is well-known for its Rolling Stones covers. They performed classic rock and soul numbers such as “Everybody Needs Somebody to Love,” Janis Joplin’s famous “Pieces of My Heart,” and “Cry Baby.” This is a valuable soundboard live sound source of “First Review” in 1989, which was the origin of the project!
