Description

NEW ORDER released “BROTHERHOOD” in 1986 and was climbing the ladder of success. The best soundboard album will be released. This work includes “November 4, 1986 Hollywood Performance”. Speaking of “BROTHERHOOD TOUR,” this is their second performance in Japan, and they are also known for their official works “BRIXTON ACADEMY APRIL 1987” and “BBC RADIO 1 LIVE IN CONCERT.” First of all, let’s look back at the tour schedule at the time to understand the positional relationship. ●1986・September 10th-13th: UK #1 (4 performances) [“BROTHERHOOD” released on September 29th]・October 2nd-13th: UK #2 (5 performances)・October 29th -December 15th: North America #1 (30 performances) ←★Here★ ●1987, January 27th-30th: Japan (4 performances), February 2nd-21st: Oceania (14 performances), 4 March 2nd + 4th: UK #3 (2 performances) ← *Official video, May 14th – June 30th: Europe #1 (9 performances) ← *Official BBC, August 13th – October 19th: North America #2 (23 performances), December 6th-10th: Europe #2 (3 performances) This is a panoramic view of “BROTHERHOOD TOUR”. “BRIXTON ACADEMY APRIL 1987” and “BBC RADIO 1 LIVE IN CONCERT” were shows in the home country of England in 1987, the latter half of the tour, but the Hollywood performance of this work is the opposite. This was the fourth concert of “North America #1” held in the first half of the tour. The official edition “BBC RADIO 1 LIVE IN CONCERT” was a live album based on the BBC broadcast as its name suggests, but this work can be said to be the American version. This show has been broadcast on FM radio and has become a staple of the “BROTHERHOOD TOUR”, with an excellent sense of closeness and neatly separated stereo sound. The freshness of the master is also excellent, with no dubbing marks or tape twists, as if the broadcast radio waves at the time had flown through time and space as they were. That is the quality that is comparable to the official works mentioned above. Although the sound is official quality, the content is delicious because it is completely different from the official work. This work is not a complete version of the show because it is edited according to the broadcast time of about one hour, but the selection is too exquisite. In fact, when compared with the official works “BRIXTON ACADEMY APRIL 1987” and “BBC RADIO 1 LIVE IN CONCERT”, only four songs overlap. All the others are things that cannot be heard even if you combine the two official works. Instead, it can be said that the classics such as “The Perfect Kiss” and “Bizarre Love Triangle” are missing, but you can listen to valuable songs such as “Leave Me Alone”, “Every Little Counts”, and “Way Of Life” on the stereo sound board. Nothing can replace the real thrill. It is exactly the subtext of “BRIXTON ACADEMY APRIL 1987” and “BBC RADIO 1 LIVE IN CONCERT”… No, it is a live album that can be called a “semi-official work” that forms a trilogy. This is a superb stereo soundboard album that allows you to listen to “BROTHERHOOD TOUR” with a completely different expression from the official work. This work alone is a wonderful musical work, and when combined with the official work, it is a masterpiece of a live album that becomes even more appealing.
