Description
The Neville Brothers were formed in 1976 with the eldest brother Art, and the younger brothers Aaron, Cyril, and Charles, around the time of the breakup of the Meters. The Neville family has been leading the New Orleans funk scene for a long time. This is the title of a soundboard recording of a live performance at the Lone Star Cafe in New York in July 1984, before the big hit “Yellow Moon” in 1989. The live performance jumps into your ears, and the original Meters, Dr. John, Marvin Gaye, reggae, and their lively style of playing freely in their favorite ways make the listener dance and enjoy. It’s a live performance that you’ll want to listen to again and again.
