Neil Young has released many live recordings in his archive series in recent years, but no matter what you do, you can’t find anything like this. But this is the kind of thing I want to hear. It’s great to see a precious live performance revived with the beautiful sound quality of a soundboard, but there are many truly precious live performances that were not recorded on a board. This item is definitely one of them. This is a warm-up gig in 1975 for the 1976 tour, which was his first visit to Japan and was shaken by the shock of his new song “Like a Hurricane”. Since it was a small venue, the performance and the cheers of the audience were close together, but that is the best part of this recording. While warming up, the band is inspired by the audience in front of them and plays quite intensely. The singing of “Like a Hurricane”, which was just completed at the time, is fresh. There are also rare cover songs such as “ONE THING I’M SURE OF”. The original master was quite difficult to listen to, but the remastering by the “Locked Room” label in 2009 has polished it to a quality that can be called EX. This is an audience sound source that is not normally recommended for beginners, but I would rather recommend listening to this one.
