Description
This is a complete recording of the performance at the War Memorial Auditorium in Buffalo, New York on January 14th from the 1973 US tour with the Stray Gators, which also included the late famous producer Jack Nitzsche, from the recently unearthed audience master. The recordings, which were miraculously in good condition at the time and owned by Taper, were released on the web, and the quality is outstanding. This is the tour that took place after the release of “Harvest”, and as you all know, it was later released as a live album “Time Fades Away”. The tour was full of troubles, such as band member changes and confusion at large venues, during the hard schedule of three months, and this album, which was a compilation of only new songs performed during the tour, was unpopular at the time of its release as it overturned the image of a normal live album. However, it is now highly regarded as a masterpiece that contains many hard-hitting performances, and the unique hardness that is unique to this period is its charm, making it hard to believe that it was performed by almost the same members as the idyllic “Harvest”. In particular, the title number and “Last Dance” are performed with a fierce style that is different from Crazy Horse. While “Time Fades Away” has yet to be released officially on CD, this collector’s edition is a must-have for fans, as it allows you to listen to the precious performances in full. DISC 1 : 01.
