Mr.Big / Osaka, Japan 2017 2Days Complete

From the 2017 “DEFYING GRAVITY JAPAN TOUR”, the two consecutive performances in Osaka, the performance at the Melpark Hall Osaka on October 1st and the performance at the Osaka Festival Hall on the following day, were recorded in complete with coupling, both with digital audience recording from the front row. At first listen, the direct sound from the PA in both cases was at a level that made it seem like a sound board, and the unique attack sound of Billy’s bass was particularly clear. The number of songs in the set has also increased slightly compared to the beginning of the tour, and although “Take A Walk” was dropped from the set, “Open Your Eyes” and “Forever & Back” from “DEFYING GRAVITY” were set instead, and “Promise Her The Moon” was added to the acoustic corner. And with the new songs increasing to a total of six songs, the color of the album has become stronger throughout the show. Furthermore, Pat Torpey, who reassured fans with his energetic appearance in various places, left the stage during a few songs, but participated in most of the songs from the fourth song “Alive And Kickin'” to the encore, performing chorus, percussion, and even drumming in “Just Take My Heart.” And in “We’re An American Band,” the members switched parts (Billy and Matt on guitar, Eric on bass, Paul on drums), and Pat took the lead vocals.
