Description
The legendary soundboard recording that conveyed the story of the debut is an unexpected upgrade! A “genuine original cassette” that surpasses even the official one has been discovered. Urgent, permanent preservation has been decided! [Shocking original cassette master newly discovered] There are two performances engraved in this work. This is a stereo soundboard recording of “June 8, 1990 Litchfield Performance” and “June 10 Cuyahoga Falls Performance”. I’m sure some of you have already noticed this, but this recording is a leaked soundboard from the people involved, which was once all the rage as “2 NIGHTS IN OHIO.” However, this work is neither a copy nor a remastered reissue. Previously, it was caused by the DAT master, but this time the cassette master, which is the origin of the DAT, was newly discovered. It is the highest peak updated version that was transferred directly from the actual cassette used for recording at the on-site mix table. What is shocking here is the fact that “DAT was not the source.” This is a story that also involves the official edition “LIVE! RAW LIKE SUSHI”. In order to explain that, let’s first look back at the schedule at the time of our debut. 1988, November 15th – February 3rd: North America #1 (4 performances) 1989, February 9th – March 9th: North America #2 (5 performances)《June 20th “MR. BIG” Release》・August 19th – October 7th: North America #3 (19 performances)・October 18th – 25th: First visit to Japan (6 performances)・October 31st – December 10th: North America #4 (19 performances) 1990, February 17-May 11: North America #5 (41 performances), May 31-June 29: North America #6 (19 performances) ←★Coco★《October 25 “LIVE! RAW LIKE SUSHI” released in Japan》This is the journey from formation to the production of “LEAN INTO IT”. Except for the legendary first visit to Japan, they have all been in North America, and among them, the 1990 edition “North America #5-6” was also the opening act of RUSH’s “PRESTO Tour”. All performances were recorded here, and the official live EP “LIVE! RAW LIKE SUSHI” was also created from some of them. Let’s zoom in further on “North America #6″ and check its relationship with this work.・May 31st – June 4th (3 performances) *June 5th: Hampton performance ←*RAW LIKE SUSHI (2 songs) ・June 7th: Pittsburgh performance *June 8th: Richfield performance ←★ This work (7 songs + solo)★*June 10: Cuyahoga Falls performance ←★This work (6 songs + solo)★・June 11-19 (6 performances) *June 20: Omaha performance ←*RAW LIKE SUSHI (2 songs)・June 22nd-26th (3 performances) *June 27th: Mountain View performance ←*RAW LIKE SUSHI (2 songs)・June 29th: Irvine performance This is the “North American #6” total 19 performances. “RAW LIKE SUSHI” was an EP made up of two selected songs from each of the three performances. Although this work is in between, it is a separate performance with one song covered. The point here is that “RAW LIKE SUSHI” is proudly credited with “Recorded directly on to DAT from the house mixing console.” In other words, both the official version and “2 NIGHTS IN OHIO” are sibling works born from DAT masters recorded every day. Naturally, since they were produced in the same environment and equipment, the quality of both works is completely consistent. It is natural that it is so-called “completely official grade”. …This is the story that has been believed up until now. However, when the cassette master was discovered this time, it became clear that the DAT master was not the original but a copy. There is a strong possibility that not only “2 NIGHTS IN OHIO” but even the official works were produced from copy masters. [Original cassette sound that surpasses even the official one] You may be thinking, “Wait a minute. Isn’t this cassette more of a copy?” However, it is the significantly upgraded sound of this work that completely dispels that possibility. Even compared to the conventional version “2 NIGHTS IN OHIO”, the density of the sound and the solid sense of stability are completely different, and when each note rises, you can even feel the presence of the strings and skin, and the moment the sound disappears, it goes into the void. It is left clean all the way to the edge where it is sucked in. It may be easier to understand this feeling by comparing it to an official remaster. If conventional editions are like listening to official masterpieces on aged cassettes, this work is a high-quality CD series like “Mobile Fidelity” and “Nimbus Supercut.” No matter how high quality sound boards are, the quality of the sound is at a completely different level. And, the two performances depicted with such ultimate sound can be called “RAW LIKE SUSHI complete version”. Unfortunately, the opening song “Blame It On My Youth” was not recorded in the Cuyahoga Falls performance (June 10th, the second half of this work), so it starts in the middle of “How Can You Do What You Do,” but the Litchfield performance (June 10th) 8th: The first half of this work) is completely recorded. You can fully enjoy the live performance of “Take A Walk” and the guitar solo/bass solo that were cut in the edited work “RAW LIKE SUSHI”. And the awesomeness of the performance. Any band is burning with the aim of success when it debuts, but this work has an amazing enthusiasm that challenges RUSH fans beyond their ears. The masters of each musical instrument put all their skill and sense into it, and there is no doubt that the stage was completely burnt out in just under 40 minutes. This work is just an upgrade album of “2 NIGHTS IN OHIO”. This is a separate performance from the official “LIVE! RAW LIKE SUSHI”. However, in reality, the content and sound are “true RAW LIKE SUSHI” and it is a super masterpiece that is a “complete version of RAW LIKE SUSHI”. A master sound that overturns even the official wisdom. Leaked stereo soundboard recording of “June 8, 1990 Litchfield performance + June 10, 1990 Cuyahoga Falls performance”. The previous version was generated from a DAT master like the official EP “LIVE! RAW LIKE SUSHI”, but this time the original cassette master was newly discovered. The quality is completely “beyond official”, and the density of the sound and the sense of stability are completely different. This is a “true RAW LIKE SUSHI” that you can fully enjoy live through “Take A Walk” and the bass solo that were cut in “RAW LIKE SUSHI”. New mastering from the master cassette. Although no equalization has been done, it is still a dense sound with clearly more information than the previous edition. It extends well into the high range, and you can hear the difference in the brightness of the sound between songs.
