Description
The Modern Lovers, led by Jonathan Richman, were recorded in 1971-73, and their early days. This rare recording has been demixed and remastered with the latest AI technology to create a clear sound quality! The Modern Lovers were formed in 1970 by Jonathan Richman with Jerry Harrison, who later became a member of Talking Heads. This new item contains unreleased recording sessions from their early days, from 1971 to 1973, and has been demixed and remastered with the latest AI technology to create a clear sound quality! The recordings from this period have been found on several analog bootlegs, including “THE ORIGINAL MODERN LOVERS” released by BOMB! in 1981. The bootleg CD “Songs Of Remembrance” circulated underground in the 1990s, and a few years ago a fan compilation titled “UNRELEASED STUDIO DEMOS 1971 -1973” was uploaded online, which was a collection of rare recordings that had never been officially released before. For this album, the audio used in that compilation has been remastered using the latest AI demixing technology to achieve an exceptionally clear sound quality, and some tracks have also been remixed to correct an issue where Harrison and Richman had been on reversed channels. 01.Ride Down On The Highway 02.Such Loneliness 03.Girlfriend <1972 John Cale Sessions> 04.A Plea For Tenderness 05.A Song Of Remembrance For Old Girlfriends <1972 Dinky Dawson Session With Kim Fowley> 06.Hospital 07.A Plea For Tenderness 08.Dignified And Old 09.Modern World 10.Fly Into The Mystery <1973 Kim Fowley Sessions> Bonus: 11.
