Description
Missing Persons was formed by Terry Bozzio after his time with Zappa, with an eye on 80’s New Wave, and featured Dale’s coquettish vocals. The band gained a lot of attention as a super electric pop band. After the release of their debut album in 1982, on October 10th, the band performed live in the studio at the BBC Rock Hour in the UK, recorded on the soundboard from the BBC on-air master. Warren Cuccurullo (g) and Patrick O’Han (b) from Zappa’s band also participated, and their speedy technical playing, and of course Dale’s rainbow voice intertwined with Bozzio’s superb drumming with odd time signatures. All of this is new wave pop backed by technical performance, with plenty of odd time signatures. 01. Mental Hopscotch / 02. Noticeable One / 03. Words / 04. Tears / 05.
