A 2CD title containing the best quality audience recording of Miles’ live performance at New York’s Avery Fisher Hall on July 1st during his 1975 US tour. On July 1st, after the legendary performance in Japan in February 1975 and two months before his temporary retirement, he held an early and late show at New York’s Avery Fisher Hall, both owned by Taper.・Complete recording of both shows with high quality audience recording from Reel Master. First of all, it should be noted that the sound quality is amazing for an audience recording in the mid-70s, and it is miraculous that this hall has a reputation for poor sound, so it is so well balanced and there is no hiss noise. There are also many highlights, including two new songs at the time, including “Mother Dearest Mother” written by Pete Causey, which was played as the last number of both shows, since Miles was already absent. In the middle, Michael Henderson plays the theme, and then Koji and Mtume end the live with a free & noisy sound, and this is the only live recording other than studio outtakes. Another new song, “Untitled Latin,” has a studio version confirmed, but the live recording is largely unknown. Moreover, although it is a simple number that follows the flow of “Maiysha” and “Calypso Frelimo”, it shows a development that hints that Miles, who was about to retire, was heading in a Latin direction in the future.
