Description
Here is a renewed version of the famous “SWEDISH DEVIL” from the November 5, 1969 Stockholm performance, famous as a representative performance of the “Lost Quintet” period. The live performance on this day, which is too famous from the past, was released in an official box set in March 2013, but the songs included were incomplete and half-baked, and even the sound quality was not of official level, which disappointed many Miles fans. Therefore, this title that appeared again was mastered from the sound source that was re-aired on a European radio station in 2009, so the improvement in quality is remarkable compared to the past distribution items that were cassette tape masters from the broadcast sound source of the 1990s, and the range is wide, and it is recorded with a pure sound that makes the most of the texture and brilliance of the dynamic original sound. Furthermore, unlike the previous ones, it is nice that no MC of the broadcast announcement is recorded at all. Disc 1 is the daytime section, and Disc 2 is the nighttime section. In particular, “Bitches Brew” is played twice, with the first half acoustic and the second half electric, which is a very unusual development. Other tracks include Chick Corea’s freeform playing on his Fender Rhodes, a perfect new arrangement of “Nefertiti” from the daytime section, and Miles’s pet, which is as cool as a baby, riding on a strong rhythm. This is the greatness that can only be found in this period before the turbulent 1970s. This Miles world goes beyond the official “1969 Miles” and mixes “Four & More” and “We Want Miles” with “Get Up with It” sprinkled in. This is another treasured work that you cannot talk about the Lost Quintet or the 1970s that followed without listening to it. Disc One : 01. Bitches Brew 02. Paraphernalia 03. Nefertiti 04.
