Description
The world tour started on April 1st, 1982 with a warm-up show at the Branford Hotel in Boston, and toured all over Europe in April and May, landing in the United States in July. The recently released performance at Pier 84 (commonly known as Pier 84) along the Hudson River in New York was held amidst the great success of the European performance and received a lot of attention. According to the data listed on the site (MilesA head) of Peter Losin, a famous Miles sound source collector, this performance is a B-rank audience recording in which the last Jean-Pierre part is cut off in the middle. It is introduced, and in the notes section, it is written that “According to Mr. Yann Roman, there is also a complete version of Jean Pierre that is 21 minutes long.” That’s right, this sound source is the complete version of the sound board sound source owned by Jan Roman. However, there is a 37-second missing part in the first song on Disc 2, “Aida,” and we have created a full-length version by filling in that with unreleased audience sound sources. Of course, the work is done by professionals and there is no oversight in the adjustment work. In 1982, you can listen to the best performance at the top of the US tour for the first time.
