Description
For Miles collectors, check out the sound source from the time when John Sco and others were enrolled! Among them, a compilation of live performances at three festivals from the valuable July 1984 Euro tour, all on high-quality soundboards using broadcast masters! First, a complete recording of the concert held at the Jean Les Pins Jazz Festival in Antives, France on July 20th from the French national broadcaster On Air Source. This was almost Al Foster’s last live performance, and he maintained a supple and light rhythm throughout. Miles also performed “La Marseillaise” at the end. Next up is two bonus songs from the North Sea Jazz Festival in the Netherlands on July 15th. And on Disc: 3, there was a live performance at the Jazz Summit in Wiesen, Austria on the 7th, and it is worth noting that Chick Corea, who was performing with his own band on that day, appeared as an encore! As soon as Miles finished playing, he suddenly burst in with an extreme electric piano solo, and the audience went wild as the two continued to interact! Of course, there are other wonderful performances, and the fresh performance of “Time After Time” is especially worth listening to. At the time, fans asked, “Why Cyndi Lauper?”, but in retrospect, this masterpiece, which can be considered the best arrangement and playing of Miles’ ballad numbers, was performed before the album was released.
