Description
The official item has been released, which contains the new sound source of the 26th and 28th live performances that were not officially released from the live performances that were performed consecutively on the 26th, 27th, and 28th in July 1963, which were rebroadcast this year and remastered in 24 bits. The official album “In Europe” records the live performance on July 27th and is one of Miles’s masterpieces. The sound sources of the 26th and 28th that were not officially released have been released in the past, but the live performance on the 26th was from an old cassette tape and the sound quality was disappointing due to the deterioration of the tape itself over time. It has also been uploaded to the video site YouTube with reasonable sound quality. Only two songs from the live performance on the 28th were released on CD by JMY (Jazz Music Yesterday). In the midst of all this, it was miraculously rebroadcast for two days on October 2nd and 3rd on the program “Legends Jazz” of the French national public radio station. Of course, this became a big topic among overseas Miles enthusiasts, and we received inquiries from domestic Miles enthusiasts as well. However, since the live performance on the 28th, it has been said that for some reason, noise has been occurring only in “Starlight Stella”, but on this album “Definitive Antibes 1963”, the noise has been suppressed to the utmost, so you can listen to it with peace of mind. Also, the program announcement overlaps with the intro of the song, but we have not edited it because it would sound unnatural if we cut out that part. This is a wonderful masterpiece that is in no way inferior to the official album “In Europe” and is a must-listen for Miles fans.
